Bolt Torque for Lug Nuts Too High?13 Apr 2008 20:16 GMT13
Someone told me once that if you torque lug nuts to tight, you can
actually bend (and damage) the brake rotors. Anyone have any info on
this? When I change a tire I don't use a torque wrench because I do
not own one.

250 Engine Runs Terribly Redux10 Apr 2008 23:57 GMT1
I just heard from the auto shop machinist.  He told me that all 6 cylinders
hold a vacuum perfecty, the spring and valve stem heights are ok, and the
head was milled within specs.  His opinion is that water is getting into the
cylinders because the head wasn't torqued down ...

98 Gand Marquis grinding in the steering.09 Apr 2008 00:29 GMT1
I have a 98 Grand Marquis with 154,000 miles on it. I replaced the

1990 Ford 5.0 diagnostic help...please?08 Apr 2008 21:56 GMT7
I don't know if I'm trying to make a better sow's ear or not.  I have
a 1990 Mercury Colony Park wagon. Obviously it's not new but it's not
a beater either.  Even with over 100,000 mi on it, the 302/5.0 runs
pretty good for stock. About the only complaints I have with it is
RPM Gauge08 Apr 2008 18:34 GMT3
Recenlty purchased 2007 Ford Taurus, 31,000 miles. I have noticed that
while sitting at light in traffic, the rpm gauge jumps between 600-800
rpm. I have no heating/air controls on, wipers are off, the only thing
running is the vehicle. I am aware that different compressors and
