89 F150 dual tank issue.19 Oct 2008 17:13 GMT10
I have an 89 F150 straight 6 and 5 speed. dual tanks. I have tested the dash switch and it is good. New valve on the frame. It still only pulls gas from the from tank regardless of which tank the switch is set to. The fuel gauge changes based on which tank the switch is set to.
DOWN to 14 mpg....LOL?17 Oct 2008 23:51 GMT3
2002 taurus, started @ 18 mpg now down to 14 mpg...
Hell I even inflated the tires to the proper amount...they WERE all 10
pounds low at the BETTER mpg?
Maybe I should slap a Obama/Biden stick on my car to improve my MPG???
Trip computer in a Lincoln17 Oct 2008 22:12 GMT1
Does the trip computer in a Lincoln calculate MPG over all the miles
since the last reset, or is it limited to some max number of the most
recent miles.  For instance, if you went from the showroom to 50,000
miles without ever resetting it, would you be seeing the average for the ...

Here on the central Florida Panhandle it's averaging $3.25, in the Pensacola
area around $2.90  I clicked around here:

and the lowest I could find was $2.25 in south Texas.

Oil change time or mileage?13 Oct 2008 00:19 GMT34
Which is more important. My kid just informed me that she hasn't
changed the oil in roughly a year, yet she hasn't put enough miles on it
according to the sticker.   Going forward should she pay more attention
to time (and how long) or the mileage?
Dilute car wax?11 Oct 2008 18:24 GMT3
A jug of Turtle wax will wax a lot of cars.
I only got one.
I try to use my jug of wax over 1 year old and it's too thick to
properly apply.
Dirty, Filthy Wheels11 Oct 2008 17:05 GMT13
'94 TBird, "premium" alum. wheels. Disc brakes on front, drums on rear.
About 20k mi. ago, I got new Raybestos standard pads on front wheels.
The rear wheels scrub-up reasonably well. I can't get the front wheels
clean. I've tried Castrol Super-Clean and brake-parts cleaner.

The check engine light has been on for a few weeks but the van runs fine,
finally got it checked today and got 2 codes which I forgot the numbers for
but it was lean fuel in bank 1 and 2.

Hi;
I replaced the front RIGHT caliper and front RIGHT brake hose. Now
when I stop , I feel the vehicle pull to the LEFT. If I stop hard, I
can see the skid mark of the front LEFT tire. The lines dont seem to

Convertible Mileage07 Oct 2008 00:41 GMT8
Are the EPA mileage estimates for convertibles made with the top up or down?
And really, does it have that much of an effect?
It may  be a moot point as it was 31 outside this morning...
