I suspect once the US auto industry gets on a level field the foriegn

Import owners are to blame for the recession12 Jan 2009 18:14 GMT377
If all Americans bought American cars, the US economy would be rockin
and rollin right now.  Don't give me that stuff about Toyota and Honda
manufacturing over here either.  GM employs 130,000 in the United
States.  Toyota employs 30,000, Honda less than that.  Most of the

2008 Escape Throttle pulse11 Jan 2009 03:20 GMT8
Any other owners of an early 2008 Ford Escape Limited experiencing a pulse
in the gas peddle when their vehicle first goes over 70KPH?
The gas peddle gives a brief small vibration (feedback) at 70kph, but stops
right after it goes past.
IDIOTIC WEB SITE10 Jan 2009 20:56 GMT8
Ford's web site is insane. It's hard to figure out what they make, and
I can't find any hard specifications on the potentially interesting
vehicles. Compare that to Honda and Toyota, where you can drill right
to the thing you want, and find all the specs right away.

Changing brake lines in a 93 ford superduty08 Jan 2009 16:14 GMT4
What is the simplest way to change all or most of the brake lines on a
1993 diesel superduty, is there a do it yourself kit or do I have to
piece it together? It looks like some of the lines are crimped close
to the rear brakes, I've worked with your typical brake line but I've

96 Explorer Transmission07 Jan 2009 02:41 GMT2
Three weeks ago I had a full service w/ flushing of the transmission on our
'96 Explorer, @ 145000 miles, at a local independent shop.  I then noticed
rattling noises coming from the tranny.  Went back to the shop for what I
thought might be a minor adjustment and was told that ...

Boycott ??06 Jan 2009 07:23 GMT10
There seems to be a lot of resentment on the part of large segment of
the public (me included) toward a bailout of the Detroit-3. We can't
control our politicians, but we can control our purchases.
Has anyone considered a boycott of the Detroit-3 as a payback for the
