When I start/run my 94 Tbird 4.6 (67k mostly city mi.) cold, I hear a hi- pitched whine sound from the area of the alternator. It's been doing this for years. Seems to go away after driving a distance. A service guy said it sounded like the rectifier (in the alt.). Someone else ...

| 1998 Contour driver side window - same as 1997? | 29 May 2009 12:47 GMT | 1 |
If any of you gurus out there happen to know if the driver's side window on a 1997 Contour would fit in my 1998 Contour, I'd love to know. Also does it matter if one (the '97) has power windows and the '98 doesn't?

I have an old 1979 F150 pickup truck. It has a 400 engine. I drove it for years until the box got so rusty that one of the sides fell off. After that it just became a farm truck and was no longer used on the road. It always got terrible gas milage, so when the gas prices

| U.S. pours $7.5 billion into auto lender GMAC | 23 May 2009 21:07 GMT | 3 |
Treasury Secretary Timothy Geithner must be charged with treason. Ditto this negro President if he had anything to do with this deal, throwing good money after bad. Correction. It isn't money, it's currency. The U.S. doesn't have any money. Money is gold and silver, maybe include ...

| closing dealers saves money?? | 23 May 2009 03:54 GMT | 13 |
I'm curious. How does closing a dealer save an auto manufacturer money? The dealers buy the cars and parts from the maufacturer. If the dealer can't sell them, the it's the dealer that's stuck, isn't he? Even if a dealer only sells one care a month, the manufacture makes a

| Sudden acceleration grounds for big lawsuit | 22 May 2009 03:47 GMT | 14 |
You read about it all the time: driver presses gas pedal instead of brake and a serious accident occurs. This is not due to a clutz behind the wheel. It could happen to you or me and it did happen to me (no accident though).

My Taurus has bearing noise at 160k + miles. When the wheel is turned to the right the noise increases and dies out in a left turn, Am I correct in believing the left, driver side, has the bad bearing? If I replace the hub and sealed bearing, is it necessary to diconnect

As ordered by our fair and square elected President, all the auto executives lined up behind him for receiving his auto specs for the 2016 models. Notably, neither the press nor the execs (in name only) wore Stetsons. It was a hot sunny day. In the days of old, no self-respecting
