Ford roof rusting after 3 years16 Jun 2009 03:37 GMT8
After numerous attempts to get Ford to address an obvious defect in
craftsmanship I am left with no other recourse than to make their poor
customer service known.
I own a 2005 Explorer. The paint on the roof has come off and exposed

Ugly gaping air intake on new Taurus10 Jun 2009 16:46 GMT9
I don't like the ugly gapping mouths all too common on front ends these
days.  The XKE was pretty. The Taurus is ugly. Ugly does not sell. GM, take
note of Ford's blunder and profit by their big mistake in artistic
expression.
UPDATE: More news on Ford's forthcoming ethanol injected, turbocharged "Bobcat" V810 Jun 2009 08:31 GMT1
Pickuptrucks.com has been doing some digging in the U.S. Department of Energy's document treasure trove and uncovered some information on Ford's new Bobcat (no, not the Mercury). It turns out "Bobcat" is the code name for a new boosted and ethanol-powered engine being developed ...

Chinese-made cars will not be cheaper than domestics09 Jun 2009 06:03 GMT23
Think Japanese cars.  Toyota Coronas sold for $1800 when intoduced.  Once
we got hooked, they jacked up the prices to American levels.  The Chinese
will do the same after they wipe out Ford.
Lenin once said, "The Capitalists will sell us the rope with which we will
X-Plan question08 Jun 2009 14:11 GMT1
If you are qualified for Ford X-Plan, can you still get cash-back or
other Ford incentives on top of that?
Is X-Plan pricing as good as it gets - or can the dealers do better?

I have a question about the differences between Taurus O2 sensors.
In this case, 1997 Taurus 3.0l OHV.
It has two O2 forward and one post cat.
My post cat sensor got broke and stuck.
E150 Auto Transmission Identification06 Jun 2009 22:00 GMT1
I have a E150 van and would like to determine what model of automatic
transmission it has. I found the following sequence of characters on the
right side (passenger side) of the transmission. Any help identifying
this would be appreciated.
50 Billion dollars to GM is not real money03 Jun 2009 22:31 GMT35
It's called money, but it's not.  The 50 billion is currency, or more
accurately fiat currency.  It is funny money by government decree.  The
government says its money, so it is, they want us to believe.
It's currency created out of thin air:  printed on presses or by computer
Why not a new class of auto exempt from safety regs?03 Jun 2009 21:49 GMT3
Motorcycles are exempt and perfectly legal. No safety belts, no nothing.
Then there are 4 wheel cars saddled with crash worthiness and air bags and
all the rest. That makes them very heavy and places limitations as to what
the engineers can do.
Thailand ranger03 Jun 2009 03:47 GMT9
Who makes the thailand ranger?  who makes the diesel engine in it?  it
looks too similar to a nissan?
I really wish ford would hang on to land rover for their diesels, or
maybe just commission cummings, detroit or mercedes to make something
Deposits in Bank Escrow for Your Protection03 Jun 2009 00:16 GMT12
It's bank escrow for deposits on special-order vehicles or delayed
deliveries where the dealer has to obtain a car from a another car lot.
Either a bank escrow, no deposit handshake deal or no deal.  Do not trust
any dealer, including Ford, with holding your deposit.  You could be ...
ford radio aux jack02 Jun 2009 04:05 GMT2
Has ford hit 2002 yet and made the aux jacks standard?  i'm sure that
would add about $3 to mfg costs, or do i have to buy a harley davidson
F150 to get it.
