09 Escape Headlight Question31 Aug 2009 11:58 GMT1
Will my headlights turn off automatically after several minutes if I
accidently leave them on? This is in the normal headlamp (On)
position, not Autolamp. My manual says the Escape has a "battery

No wind to speak of.    Long empty stretch of freeway with a _very
slight_ downward pitch.    Was impressed with the relatively short time

…technology and energy-efficient cars and fuels. That’s the area that
Japan currently leads. Yet the demise of the auto industry (sales in
the U.S., still the world’s largest market by revenue, have been
halved in the last year) is another …

EEC-V, OBD-I, or OBD-II?
Thanks!
Road tar27 Aug 2009 08:39 GMT14
I live in a rural area in TX.  A road, which route is the only way to town
from my house, was recently repaved.  I had no choice but to drive on it
immediately afterwards.
The car, a 2008 Ford Focus, baby powder blue paint, has road tar on the
98 Grand Marquis Evap Check Engine Code25 Aug 2009 15:23 GMT4
The check engine light came on on my 98 Grand Marquis. My mechanic
said it was a defective filler tube and gas cap. They found this with
a smoke test. Paid $285.00 for the repair and the check engine light
came on again. Anyone know what else it could be? By the way, where is

now (was at 1.00 earlier this year). Seems like Ford is on the right track.

steering wheel control on 05 Expy malfuntioning17 Aug 2009 05:31 GMT7
Several months ago, Helfman Ford "reconditioned" the battery
in my 05 Expy.  Since then the steering wheel controls have
intermittent failures, they sometimes work, they sometimes
dont.  For instance, pushing the vent fan speed rocker down

I have a 1999 Escort, American-spec base model with an automatic
transmission.  Recently the speedometer became intermittent and then
stopped working altogether.  Some dozens of miles later the "check
engine" light came on, probably related to the speedometer not working.
