my mechanic changed the oil and now i have a leak.  i accept
that sometimes things just happen, but the fix he gave for
this "happen" is huge!   i need to have the engine lifted
and the oil pan changed.

   I have a 1979 Pontiac Bonneville.  During (or shortly after) a
heavy rain, when I drive my car and apply the brakes, the brakes
behave as though I am "slamming" on the brakes.    I know the

While using an air compressor that plugs into my lighter today the
compressor stopped working.  I hooked the compressor up to my wife's car and
it worked fine.  I checked all of the fuses for breaks and found none.  Is

1997 Park Avenue.  Battery slowly drains, taking about 3 days.  Using
meter between disconnected neg cable and neg post, then pulling each
fuse in turn , thought I might isolate the faulty circuit,  but

Hi, I had my 1997 Chevrolet 5 speed S-10 truck (138,000 miles) tuned 4
months ago. I kept getting P0135 code. I tuned it myself, wires, cap,
rotor, plugs etc. Also installed 4 new O2 sensors. Yesterday I got the
idiot light again. This time the code is P042. I checked manual and it

Anyone ever had problems with the transmission not shifting out of 2nd gear?
I just had my fuel lines replaced on a recall and now my transmission won't
shift out of 2nd gear....  Any ideas what might be causing the problem?

Have a friend from KY down in FL for work stranded in Tampa (I-4) area with a
98 Cavalier Overheated yesterday and still won't start.  Needs a mechanic in

I was told I could get main belt off and on to replace it by pulling
straight upon the tention wheel with a rachet without turning anything.
When I try it, it doesn't move. Does any one have an idea of what I,m
doing wrong?
