3.8 Head gasket leaks31 Oct 2004 23:44 GMT3
After reading a post where 3800 II engines are being recalled for head
gaskets I decided to check mine. Sure enough, the front head gasket is
leaking oil fairly bad on the drivers side. So I decided to start a
new tread...

I've had my 2004 Impala for about 3 months now. Love it, runs great,
drives great too.
The other night I had to turn on my rear window defogger and the FM
radio became static (more severe on some stations than others). Is
04 Montana sliding door problem...31 Oct 2004 19:18 GMT1
The LH sliding door (non-power) on my 04 montana will not close nearly
as easily as the RH side... and when it does close, it isn't as flush
with the body and front door as the other side...  Hopefully warranty
will take care of it?

Read in Road & Track that 2005 will be the last model run for Buicks
LeSabre, Chevys Astro and GMC Safari Van.
Lucerne will replace the LeSabre in 2006.
Park Avenue will undergo a complete change over and a new name is
3.4 lower intake manifold new gasket 31 Oct 2004 01:45 GMT8
My Montana is under open heart surgery. The lower intake manifold gasket was
leaking, externally.
I went to my dealership to see it open this morning and the mechanic showed
me the culprit...the new gasket that he is going to install is different.
LeSabre?30 Oct 2004 06:59 GMT5
I am thinking about a 95 LeSabre. I want to hear about pros/cons.
Is the tranny reliable? I have had real good luck with 4L60
tranny but generally don't trust automatics.
Would an older, gen I 3.8L be more reliable than gen. II?
Custom wheels for Buick Lesabre (help)30 Oct 2004 03:11 GMT2
My wife was just gifted a 92 Buick Lesabre from her grandmother.  It's
in "good to excellent" condition with only 79k on the odometer.  I
must admit it's one of the most comfortable cars I've driven, even if
it does tend to float over bumps.  Big, roomy, soft, confident, all

High Volume Oil Pump28 Oct 2004 19:45 GMT5
I just installed a "high volume" oil pump in my 1989 GMC 350 v8 with 163,000
mi. Pressure went from approx 10 - 20psi up to almost 60psi, which is great
but the guy at the parts store said a new nylon sleeve that secures the
drive shaft to the pump will work fine. But the note that ...
1993 Buick LaSabre28 Oct 2004 03:08 GMT1
My LaSabre has been running badly in the cool mornings. If you step on the
gas it coughs and sort of back fires. It has new plugs and wires. At high
speeds the check engine light comes on and if you try to speed up it
hesitates. I took it to Auto Zone and it came up with a code 44 ...
GM (AC Delco) Car Stereo Red Display Faded28 Oct 2004 02:29 GMT11
I recently purchased a 2000 Pontiac Sunfire with a factory AM/FM/CD/Tape
stereo that has a red LCD display.  The display is faded on the right
half -- the left hand side is very bright, whereas the right hand side is
barely readable.
Chacking Dexcool Antifreeze Mixture.....28 Oct 2004 02:23 GMT6
Does anyone remember the old squeeze-bulb-type antifreeze density
measuring devices?  You know, the ones with the floating plastic balls
that tell you the glycol-to-water mix?  Will one of those work (ie be
acurate) with the new Dexcool antifreeze?  Are there new versions of
