Repair Exhaust By Brazing with Mapp Torch?27 Nov 2004 04:17 GMT2
I've got a crack in an exhaust downpipe bracket that holds the O2 sensor for
the cat. Looks like one side of the original weld broke off the bracket and
left about 1/8" opening in the pipe.  Anyone have experience using Mapp gas
to braze an exhaust? The exhaust is used, but there is ...
Poor styling problem automotive industry wide problem26 Nov 2004 22:15 GMT9
While manufacturers try to make cars more attractive through larger,
chrome-faced wheels, overall styling has suffered greatly in recent
years.  Car body sides used to have a number of folds and curves in
their sheet metal (e.g. Monte Carlo).  These forms have practically

CADILLAC TOPS IN AUTOMOTIVE QUALITY26 Nov 2004 15:56 GMT1
In recent JD Powers surveys Cadillac has taken best quality away from
Lexus.  At least three Cadillac models were in the top 5 luxury
standings: Cadillac CTS, SRX and XLR.  It is likely that the new STS
will also be near the top.  Apparently this is GM's message to
Question on replacing a 2005 Montana Radio with an after market one.26 Nov 2004 04:14 GMT1
Hello I would just like to know if it's ok to replace the Radio in the 2005

I would like to silence it for good. Does anyone know of an easy way
1997 Buick Lesabre serpentine belt26 Nov 2004 01:58 GMT2
Told my Grandpa I'd replace his belt for him.  Found the dreaded engine
mount in the way.  The mount has a lower split in it, seems like it could be
removed to thread the belt through.
Do I have to take the whole mount apart and support the engine or is there a

Damn cell phones24 Nov 2004 18:50 GMT75
Yesterday I was being tailgated by this glazed-eyed woman. Of course
she was on the phone. Fortunately she backed off when I flashed my
tail lights. Usually the driver is so engrossed in the conversation,
they don't react.
Help: Intrigue randomly shuts off while driving24 Nov 2004 17:10 GMT8
Got a 1999 Old Intrigue.  The car will seemingly at random shut off.
It happens when the car is warm or cold, but more often when it is
cold.  It doesn't seem to be ambient temperature related.  It also
will happen, and has happened, at any speed, which is rather
GM 3.1/3.4 Intake Gaskets24 Nov 2004 02:54 GMT7
I'm well aware of the troublesome reputation of the intake gaskets on
these engines.
Would it be wise to replace the lower intake gaskets on a '99 3.1
