LT Model Added to 05 Monte Carlo23 Nov 2004 20:07 GMT2
I saw one, 2005 Monte Carlo LT on the lot Sunday. LT must be new to the
model line for 2005. Not sure what the differences are from the LS. The
LT is probably less $$$ as the body colored side moldings were not
present on the LT I saw.

In-the-tank fuel pumps cause death and destruction22 Nov 2004 04:27 GMT132
A Google search found two serious fires, happening on the same day, one
fire causing death and the other perhaps a million dollars damage as a
result of servicing in-the-tank fuel pumps.  Had these fuel pumps been
placed externally, as the usual and proven practice for more than 70 ...

1994 Buick Lesabre...heeeelllp21 Nov 2004 00:16 GMT2
I've had my 1994 buick in several times to be serviced for the very same
problem, over and over again, and I'm tired of parts being replaced.
My buick when you try to start it, turns over just fine, sounds like it
starts but as soon as you turn the key into where it should be ...
P0440 on 2001 Impala20 Nov 2004 21:43 GMT3
My wife's car turned on the check engine light and I had Autozone pull the
code for me and received a P0440 "Evap Emission control system".  I
searched for that code and found that is seems to be common on a lot of
cars/trucks from Chevy to Honda/Toyota/etc.  The only real hit on ...

What can Ford / GM do?
Suppose that the g.m. of a car dealership, Billy Beer, marries into the job.
Suppose that there were 3 managers - one reasonable, one gruff,
and one brass tacks.
Suburban 2000 -Clunking in steering18 Nov 2004 13:29 GMT2
When turning or going over mild bumps esp at lower speeds there is a
noticible clunk and vibration felt thru the steering column. My local
mechanic says nothing wrong just the way the coupling is made in the
steering coupling.
99 Buick Regal Shifter knob removal, how to?17 Nov 2004 19:00 GMT2
Hi all, I need to remove the shifter knob on my wife's 99 Regal LS
(center console shifter).  The knob appears to have a clip or
something on the backside but I can figure out how to remove it.  Does
the shifter button need to be removed to access this clip?
96 GMC Sierra 3500 Clicks won't turn over. 17 Nov 2004 14:49 GMT1
My work truck, 96 Sierra 3500 Pickup clicks but won't even turn over. It has
been sitting for a few weeks.  Battery is brand new and lights are bright.
I'm guessing it's the starter.  Any way to diagnose the starter to be sure?
I guess the solenoid in the starter clicks but the ...

Lubricate Slip Yoke? factory service manual not clear what to use17 Nov 2004 12:08 GMT4
The factory service manual for my '89 S10 Blazer 2WD w/ 700R4 says to
lubricate the slip yoke when re-installing the driveshaft.  It doesn't
specify what to lube it with; not sure if I should use motor oil, ATF,
general purpose grease, etc.  When I took the driveshaft out a little
