code reader for GM16 Nov 2004 19:14 GMT15
I have a 94 Pontiac Bonneville.  The check engine light goes on
sometimes.  At idle, the oil pressure oscillates up and down.
The check engine light usually goes on after going high speed
and slowing down to a stop.
elm scan tool16 Nov 2004 12:41 GMT2
I have a 1998 Chevy Venture van.  I am thinking of building the elm scantool
interface.  Does anyone here have any experience or thoughts on the
interface?  Comments?  If I get it to work, will it be much better than a
simple scan tool such as the Actron?
Crank & No Start - '97 S-10 Blazer Demons15 Nov 2004 20:42 GMT1
My '97 Blazer, equipped with the 4.3L, V6, has quit running. For several weeks,
the truck would start & run for a short period of time (15-30) seconds & die
with a harmony of clicking relays. It would do this multiple times before it
would stay running, but once running, it was fine ...

Hey all. My Grandparents have a 1997 Chevy Lumina with the 3.1L V6 and
around 65,000 KM's on it. The problem is at times the car won't start. You
can turn on the ignition, and the radio, air blower, and all the toys work,
but when you turn the key to 'start' all you hear is a ...

Mediation/Arbitration GM Canada14 Nov 2004 04:37 GMT2
Has anyone had to use the mediator process to get concerns addressed
regarding repairs when normal channels like the Dealer and GM's CSRs proved
fruitless.
If so what was your experience and was it worth it.
Cars Are Better Now Than They Ever Were!14 Nov 2004 02:47 GMT24
I am getting annoyed at people's comments about some of the newer cars. I
have occasionally come to this site and try to offer advice. If someone has
a problem, I am glad to try to help. But comments about new cars are
baffling to me. Like saying a new car should have a ...

I live in France and will ski to Chamonix next month.
The Venture is equipped with the TCS (Traction Control System).
1) Is this sufficient on snow or should snow chains be bought?
2) If I have to purchase snow chains how do you think about this ? :

I have a 79 Chev. Caprice SW and recently the right turn signal indicator,
in the instrument console, went out.  I had no idea what an ordeal it is to
replace the bulb.  The bulb holders do not have wires, but contacts which mate
with the printed circuit board.  I made a tool by ...
