broken control arm and what else? curb 1, Malibu 021 Jan 2005 01:01 GMT9
I made a left turn in my 1999 Malibu today on a snow-and-ice covered
street at around 5-10mph.  This was a little too fast as I slid into the
curb with my right front wheel.  I probably should have turned into the
curb, and went up on it, maybe I would have been fine.  Instead, ...
Cavalier 98 fast idle when cold20 Jan 2005 23:04 GMT3
I have a little annoying problem with a Cavalier 98 2.2L. When the
temperature is very cold (let say below -20C) it stays on fast idle + -
1000RPM all the time. Usually the idle gradually goes down to + - 600RPM as
the engine warms up. If I turn off/on engine after it has reached ...

Hi All..
Anyone else out there going through the frustration of trying to get GM
to do something about the knocking noise on cold start-up of these vehicles?
Determined it is indeed piston slap but am not satisfied with the answer
Relay problem 99 Blazer s1020 Jan 2005 03:21 GMT1
There is a constant clicking noice coming from behind the glove box. I
believe it is a blinker relay. Its the same sound the blinker makes,
but all the lights work fine. I read that I must remove the airbag fuse
and disconect the Connector Position Assurance connector at the base of

Buick Park Avenue - Low Tire Pressure Warning19 Jan 2005 19:10 GMT2
I recently purchased a 2003 Park Avenue and I had a new set of tires put on
this weekend. I went up one size on the tires, which I ok'ed with the tire
company and now the tire pressure warning comes on the control panel. I've
checked the tires and they all seem to have the correct ...

I got the Seat Belt dummy light as well as the Charge (the one with the

diagnose the real problem.
The Seat Belt light just comes and go.
Coast in Neutral + brake to slow down = HUGE SLAM?19 Jan 2005 15:41 GMT8
I've noticed some interesting (at best) behavior on my 2002 Grand Am SE,
2.2L ECOTEC 4-cyl engine when coasting in neutral.
I recently moved into a house in a semi-ruralish, not-yet-developed (and
hope it stays that way) area with extremely little traffic, at the
3800 V-6 intake19 Jan 2005 14:09 GMT7
I know the 3800 series 2 engines had a lot of problems with the intake
leaking but what about the series one?
I have a 94 regal with the series one and was just wondering if these
engines were prone to the same problem?

Fuel Pressure Tester19 Jan 2005 02:31 GMT5
Now I am trying to build my own fuel pressure gauge. I have the gauge,
plenty of them, but I need to adapt the Schrader valve on the fuel rail to
1/4" NPT or 1/8" NPT. I called a bunch of automotive shops, a/c part
suppliers, fluid power suppliers, etc. etc. No one can find this ...

I just purchased a 1997 buick lesabre  with 103,000 miles on it. I drove it
a hundred miles and stoped to get something eat, while waiting at the drive

breaks. Suddenly the check engine light came on. ...
social commentary, performance art or smut?18 Jan 2005 00:09 GMT1
I just came across the website for a video called "hunting for bambi".
>From the looks of it, it seems to be a low-brow stab at the OLN/Playboy
genres of cable networks, but also comes across as a misogynist
