I'm having a safety inspection done on an '92 Cavalier. I'm looking for information regarding what is neccessary to pass a safety. I don't believe the car is in that bad of shape but I'd like to be sure I'm not getting ripped off on repairs that aren't immediately required.

I have a 2001 Buick Century with about 40,000 miles (60,000 km) on it and change my oil every 4,000 to 4,500 miles with Mobil 1 5W30 oil. I have heard and read about these additives that one can add to their oil and it cleans the engine

I remember a discussion in this newsgroup about the pellets that are recommended you put in the cooling system when you do a flush and refill. Many people said the pellets sold at GM Dealers are made by Barr's Leak and you could safely just purchase a bottle or can of Barr's Leak ...
