van problems07 Jan 2005 20:05 GMT2
85 chevy g20 5.0 L california
Choke light is on and none of the dash guages work right. Idle is also rough
but not sure if this has anything to do with the main problem. On the road
engine seems to run OK. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Where did they hide the PCV valve on the 1999 Olds 88???07 Jan 2005 18:16 GMT4
I've had several people look under the hood and nobody can spot the
PCV valve. I feel sure the car has one because I looked up which
blister pack to take off the shelf in a parts store thinking I would
go home, find the valve and swap it out. HA!! Thanks in advance.
Tidbits- 2005 Buick LaCrosse07 Jan 2005 02:26 GMT5
I picked up a few new car catalogues at Buick last week. Naturally the
05 Park Avenue catalogue is similar to the 2000 - 2004 catalogues with
the same dark, blurry, cropped and extremely close up photographs that
do nothing to impress me of a car that I may be interested in
Trans Filter ?07 Jan 2005 01:21 GMT4
Does GM sell the transmission filter without the pan gasket?
List Price was $ $37.71
My cost was $28 & tax.
My buddy said the gaskets are now reusable, so I was wondering if the
'97 Catera Problems07 Jan 2005 01:18 GMT8
Just saw a 1997 Catera for sale in the wrecking yard where I bought two
Grand AMs which turned out to be good cars.
The car is a 3L V8 and looks to be in good shape with 80,000 miles on it.
The thing is the intake system has been removed and is in the trunk.
96 Lumina Battery Install Madness...06 Jan 2005 17:27 GMT1
I have never seen a more preposterous battery placement.
I thought after the windshield reservoir tank was removed it would
be easy sailing.  Wrong!  The metal "L" shaped bracket covering
the battery seems to have an ear at the bottom that extends below
2000 Chevrolet flashers reimbursment06 Jan 2005 07:42 GMT1
I have a 2000 Malibu in which i replaced hazard light flasher along with
rear taillight circuit board. Taillight was collecting water inside and
possibly caused flasher unit to fail.
Right now there is GM campaign to extend the warranty on flasher unit,

I have a 1994 Buick Regal with the 3800 V-6 and the 4T60E transmission. This
car has 46000 actual miles and was purchased from the original 85 year old
owner who is now deceased.
The problem I am having is this noise from under the hood which I cannot
02 GrandAm ignition locked04 Jan 2005 17:42 GMT4
Yesterday my wife and I took a drive and about 60 miles from home we stopped
for lunch.  When we got back in the car the ignition wouldn't turn....just
like you didn't have the right key.  My wife said that it had been acting
that way for here off and on and she thought moving the ...
2000 Buick Regal04 Jan 2005 13:20 GMT6
Anyone have any opinions on their 2000 Regal GS. I just bought one.
Seems ok now. Anything I should be aware of? It has 88K, but runs and
looks great. Black and silver in color. Air blows cold, needs new valve
cover gaskets, which I plan to replace next week.
98 Jimmy and anti-freeze question04 Jan 2005 03:52 GMT4
At my next oil change I would like to flush radiator and change coolant. (
have 60k on car ) .
I have read that the Dex-cool -orange colored fluid is not all its cracked
up to be and should be replaced with the standard green fluid.

Hello gang. My mother has a 1988 model Olds Delta 88 with over 150,000
miles that is having a problem passing the emissions test for its yearly
state inspection. The car has the VIN#C 3800 engine. The test results were:

2002 Buick LeSabre Chirping Noise04 Jan 2005 01:32 GMT1
Has anyone experienced a fairly loud chirping noise problem on a 2002
LeSabre? the noise is intermittent - stops when brakes are applied - or
when I activate the recirculate button on the AC - the AC or heat must
be on. I can pinpoint the noise as "in the vicinity" of the alternator ...
94 Cav won't start03 Jan 2005 22:08 GMT6
94 Cavalier auto 135000 mi 2.2L 4 cyl --- engine cranks strong - will
not fire up.  Where do I start looking for problems. Cannot tell if it
is lack of fuel or lack of spark, although I suspect electrical.
Any insight appreciated.
