When the head lights are turned on, the left signal light in the das

The water pump bolts go into 2 blind holes and 2 water jackets.  Doe
anyone know if you have to drain the radiator when replaceing th
bolts?  This might need to be done for the sealant to properly cure?

this is my first GMC (2004 Sierra p/u 4800 vortec) and I thought it abnormal
when it couldn't warm up at idle.  The dealer replaced the thermostat but it
