My 2001 Malibu V6 knocks for about the first 10 minutes when cold.  I think
it is called Piston Slap.
Can anyone please tell me more about the problems this creates and what can

hey i have a 1994 2.2 cavalier and it keeps overheating.. i change
the thermostat, and that didnt solve the problem, there is no coolan
in the oil so i dont think its the head gasket.. the waterpump seem
to be circulating the coolant, as the level in the radiator fluxuate

I plugged in an ac adapter into the 12V cigarette lighter of 1991 GM

Horn stopped working over the weekend.  Now all I get is a clicking noise

the mirror on the passenger side seems to have gone awol. The motorized
piece behind it is still there with two/three holes in it which
probably moves the glass.
Question is can you buy a replacement mirror and it will have tabs on

The timing pointer on my '86 305 is on the top of the timing chain cover. It
is in a jagged shape with 4 points on it. I do not see any marks on those
points. There is only one mark on the balancer which I assume is for TDC.
The specifications sticker says 0* timing, which is ...

I am trying to remove the harmonic balancer to get to the crankshaft
positioning sensor,  Is the crankshaft bolt a left-hand or right-hand
thread?  What are the torque specification for tightening the bolt?
