Got the old motor out tonight and took the oil pan off. Turns out to be the
connecting rod bearing.
I'll be transfering parts tomorrow.

While driving today I noticed my odometer stopped working. The speedometer
still works fine and there are no codes/ses light.

Noticed this on trip last week when putting load on engine going up
grades with cruise control on. Also duplicated it later without cruise
on. Vacuum leak?, vacuum switch module or ? What should I expect if I
take it to the dealer?

Hope someone can help... the people in this group have been lifesavers
before. I have a 97 Safari, and both front power door locks decided to
stop working. I have checked the fuses, no problem there; I was going
to change the power door lock relay under the right kick panel, but I'm
