Has anybody had their steering rack replaced with less than 30K miles?
GM seems to have steering issues that can only be resolved with the ISS
being lubricated and then the rack fails for good.

I need to repair a crack in the plastic housing of door mounted mirror

A/C works fine, no noise from compressor or clutch.  When it cycles on
and off, still no noise.  However, when turned off I hear a shrill,

I read in the Detroit Free Press that there is a group filing a class
action lawsuit against GM for having bad piston slap in certain SUV /
truck engines built from '99 -2002. Does anyone have info as to which
engine is involved in this suit ? The suit alleges that the dealers

My 97 Olds trans slips only going up long steep hills, in high gear.  It has
97 k on it now.  The Transmission shop says its the torque converter, and he
can fix it for $600. Or he can redo the whole trans for $1400.  Anybody have
any good advice or experience on this subject?  ...

I have read alot about the TCC solenoid going bad and causing cars to
stall, but is it possible for it to not allow the tranny to lock-up.  I
have a 93 Buick Regal GS and after driving around 200 miles on the
highway I noticed that my RPM's had gone up to around 3k @ about 70-75

At cruise speeds transmission jerks. Jerks stops if acellerated or

Just purchased a beat up '91 Regal with the 3800 motor.  Mechanically, the
car is sound, just needs some new rubber and shocks.
