88 Astro tilt steering column squeaks - Arrrrrrgh!24 Aug 2005 17:45 GMT2
Seems to be comming from pivotal area.
Does not squeak when firm pressure is applied from top or bottom of

Any suggestions would greatly be appreciated.

Gas Prices?..Don't bring this to me!!!24 Aug 2005 08:41 GMT13
A lady I know recently replaced her '00 Sedan Deville with a brand new
'05 model. Ordinarily this wouldn't bother me except that for the past
five years she has been complaining without end about the ever rising
gas prices. So I did a little computation and came up with the
Removing passenger side door panel on GMC truck24 Aug 2005 03:28 GMT2
I’m putting in a keyless entry, already have the power door locks and
windows.  How do I remove the passenger side door panel?  I don’t want
to tear anything up.  The truck is a Sierra 2005 4x4.  Thanks

1999 Chev. Lumina 3.1 V623 Aug 2005 13:40 GMT1
I recently bought this car, has 100,000 miles and runs great except
for the following problem.  It happens at no certain time, just
radomly, but you will be driving and for no apparent reason the engine
will shut off.  It feels like it pre-ignites and then shuts down
Safe to drive 99 Grand Am????23 Aug 2005 13:24 GMT11
We have a 99 Pontiac Grand Am with 99K miles and it has been using coolant
for about a month now.
Adding coolant only seems to have prolonged the inevitable.
Now it used 1/2 gallon for the last 30 miles and the service engine light
GAS PRICES23 Aug 2005 01:07 GMT13
We were talking about gas prices today.
( it's $2.55 a gallon in our area )
TV news claims they've gone up by 73 cents this year.
I remember dollar-a-gallon gas.
check timing --'95 chevy astro23 Aug 2005 00:46 GMT1
o.k. call me crazy, but I can't find the timing marks on my '95 chevy
astro.  I have set timing on other vehicles but never on this van.  The
"book" describes the procedure but never actually says or shows where
the degree marks are located.  The only place I can even imagine

Perhaps this message will help someone who was in my situation...
Our 2001 Oldsmobile Silhouette Minivan (Premiere) was making a whining
sound from the power steering.    After checking the reservoir, it
appeared the fluid was a little low. The manual calls for GM Power

GM Variable Electric Steering on 2004-05 Malibu sedan21 Aug 2005 22:03 GMT7
Have had absolutely no issues with it so far, save the following:
I would like to "feel" the car's relationship with the pavement a
little more, esp in close quarters/parking.  Is it possible to take it
to the dealer and have them "detune" the effect of the VES by a small
2000 Buick Regal GS21 Aug 2005 21:25 GMT1
Front brakes have always ran very HOT.   17,000miles ago I had GM do
the fix, but the pads are gone again and the rotors scored.  Before
that I had rebuilt using quailty pads, new and well lubricated
calipher pins, medium priced rotors, etc.  Has anyone out there
