impala dome lights17 Sep 2005 22:22 GMT7
Recently my 2002 Impala LS dome lights came on while driving and will not
shut off. I checked the dome light selector knob and the associated door
switches but all seem good. The only time the lights shut-off is when the
10 minute emergency shut-off switch activates after the car ...
95 LeSabre- where is starter relay?17 Sep 2005 16:26 GMT3
Our 95 LeSabre occasionally will not start - the starter does not work. New
starter has been installed. No help.
Looking at the wiring diagram, I see that there is a starter relay decoder
unit (coded to the key) that energizes a relay to complete the circuit to
New Impala17 Sep 2005 14:30 GMT12
Is there ANYONE out there, other than GM management, that thinks the new
Impala looks better than the old one? The old one at least had some unique
character to its styling and looked like nothing else.
Is there ANYONE out there who thinks it is a car that one could take the

Brother in Minnesota bought a 94 Cadillac Brougham 5.7 litre ( RWD ).
Any known problems with this vehicle. It has 84,000 miles, fully loaded.
So far the moonroof is stuck open in the Vent position and the blower
motor stopped about 60 seconds after it was turned on. Other than that

2002 Century, 55000 km, tech says rear brakes are "like new"
The rear brakes squeal so badly I feel like I have to wear a paper
bag over my head so people don't recognize me :)
The GM dealership "cleaned" the rear brakes, now the squeal is worse.

Question on a 1985 Pontiac Parisienne wagon16 Sep 2005 02:23 GMT5
I recently inherited an '85 Pontiac Parisienne wagon (V8) with only
about 100,000 miles on it.  It was always garaged and generally only
used for such things as road trips on summer vacations, so it appeared
to be in amazingly good shape.
Dealer Code15 Sep 2005 21:05 GMT1

Many thanks.
One nice thing about GM now15 Sep 2005 19:32 GMT6
I was talking with a relative today, and it dawned on me that the most
exciting thing about GM now is not the new product (HHR, etc) rolling out,
but the simple fact that they're getting just a bit of their swagger back.
This employee pricing - it was a coup for GM.  There are ...
Where is the Bob Lutz Magic We Have Been Told to Expect?15 Sep 2005 19:06 GMT8
Cadillac is on the mend, but with the Art&Science edgy design theme
established pre-Lutz and which he is said to hate.
The GTO was a pet project of his and has fizzled on the vine.
New Malibu ---- ugly.

how to fix dumb rear-view mirror error?15 Sep 2005 05:04 GMT10
My rear view mirror came off, and I dutifully got a glue kit and followed
all the instructions except for one detail -- I put the wrong side of the
clip against the glass.  I discovered this when I tried to hang the mirror
back up.
