'99 Regal heater issue05 Nov 2005 03:41 GMT8
At the perfect time of year, my 99 Regal LS started something naughty this morning.
It was around 50 degrees this morning and I set it at auto for 73 degrees.  After
about 5 minutes I noticed it wasn't getting warmer.  I noticed it was set for 3 ticks
out of 6 to the Floor so I ...

'94 Park Avenue - Who sells touch-up paint for Adriatic Blue code 173A?
Neither Dupli-color or Plasti-cote sells aerosol touch up paint, and the
only place I have found so far wants $15 for a few ounces, and another $15
to put it in an aerosol can.
Battery warning light, 95 Park Ave04 Nov 2005 17:32 GMT2
On our 95 Park Ave the Battery Warning Light (beside the voltage gauge)
sometimes comes on and stays on for a while after start up. This is a fairly
recent development (during the last year) and is happening more often and
staying on longer. This morning I put a DVM on the cigar ...

shop with a radiator fan control problem.  If the air conditioning

switched off, the radiator fan turns off.  The radiator fan does not

Mom's New Car Purchase04 Nov 2005 04:03 GMT7
Mom finally took my advice and traded in her 2002, 67,000km Olds Intrigue
for a 2006 Impala LT. The Intrigue needed brakes, again, and another ball
joint. Funny, she walk into the dealer and said "my car needs brakes, I want
a new one." Don't know anything other than it has the LT ...
GM power steering fluid03 Nov 2005 19:20 GMT5
Manual calls for GM 89021184. Had a minor leak at a fitting, now
fixed. Have to add about 4 or 6 ounces to bring it to the line. Any
problem using a generic rather than the GM?
TIA
Need advice on valve cover replacement03 Nov 2005 13:20 GMT7
This is sort of a followup to a previous post, but I'm going to attempt a
valve cover replacement on a GMC 2.8L V6 engine (1985) and need some
technical advice. The reason for this replacement is due to a very
persistent oil leak that is thought to be due to warped OE valve covers. ...
93 Lumina keeps dying03 Nov 2005 07:53 GMT2
This has happened to me before, but it stopped after a while.  This
time it isn't stopping.  I disconnect the battery to do something like
replace the alternator and then when I'm done I can't keep it running.
It will start, it will run fine, but as soon as i start driving if I
What is Wrong With Giving Cadillacs Names Instead of Three Letter No-Names?03 Nov 2005 06:37 GMT5
I really am stumped by the way marketing people run around like lemings
doing what the other guy is doing.   Cadillac has a long history of
exotic sounding names for it's cars, yet is killing off the names one by
one for three letter no-names.  Sedan deVille has a rich history, ...

Can I run it without the compressor?03 Nov 2005 01:00 GMT6
85 GMC s15 w/ 2.8L V6
A/C compressor is burned up and the belt on it is frayed. Can I take it off
and run it without the compressor for a while, or is the belt tension
necessary? I don't think the belt touches anything exept the center pully
tbi ecu not compatible?02 Nov 2005 22:25 GMT1
I recently installed a 1989 350 cu Chev TBI engine in the engine bay of a
1990 GMC 1500 pickup (Z71). Previously there was a 305 cu engine in the
truck. After buttoning everything up, the damn thing would not start. Got
spark and I'm confident the timing is correct. Could it be the ...
