I've got a 99 Monte with a 3100 engine.
Rarely, the engine starts misfiring on a tip-in.
When this happens:
1) The engine is greatly reduced, (occasionally stalling)

94 S-10 Blazer.  Noticed that in the rear inside the vehicle there's
noticable squeek that gets worse as highway speeds are approached.  Very
irritating on the highway.  Around town, barely or doesn't do it at all.  I
pulled the spare tire, spare tire retaining hardware, jack etc. ...

What kind of junk are they building these trucks out of anyway? I have a 98
full size Chevy truck that has only 62K on it and the dam thing is falling
apart.Both of the inside door handles broke already.Now the doors hang up
or drag striker post.I've been told the pins wear out ...

I don't like the gas cap hanging down against my paint, whenever I put
gas in the car.  It puts too many scratches/scuffs in my paint.  I
thought about removing the leesh, but I don't want to lose my gas cap.
So, I came up with this idea, received patent/trademark pending

I have been asked by a friend to see if I can get some help with a
problem he's having with his GMC Day Van.
On initial start-up from cold, the engine is continually 'hunting'

Hi, I've got a 85 estate wagon,  with a 5 wire diagnostic block, which
doen't seem to match chilton's manual.  Anyone know which lead I ground?
I tried grounding 4th from left - white wire with black stripe- nothing
happened.

A while back I posted a message asking for advice on replacing the valve
cover gaskets on my 1985 GMC S15 (2.8L V6) which had been leaking oil. Well
the valve cover change (new Edlebrock covers, Carquest rubber gaskets) has
been done and was sucessful, at least as far as I can tell. ...
