I need help, cant figure out why it is doing this. when the car is running in park or in gear, it idles so low that it cuts off. i was trying to figure out if the idle needs to be adjusted or something needs to be replaced. Hopefully someone can tells me what to do, thanks, amber.

Service engine soon light comes on after 2 to 4 miles of driving. Turn the engine off, and does same after starting again. Does the analyzer have to be connected while the engine is not running? If so, is there a way around it?

I have limited access to car magazines, but do read Consumer Reports and Web-Based mags and sites (Edmunds, Driving.ca, autonet, etc), as well as my local newspaper car section. I also watch car TV shows (such as C&D, Fifth Gear, Motoring 2006, etc).
