My girlfriend has been having troubles with her car shutting off while just
driving down the road.  This only happens when she is driving at a slow pace,
and when it shuts off the car sputters and acts as if she is out of gas,
although the tank isn't empty.  While the car is ...

My a/c was checked recently for not blowing cold air. Of course it goes
out
the first hot day of the season. Everything checked out
OK at the mechanic but they said I needed a new ECU. Everything else

1988 LeSabre exhaust question....02 Apr 2006 14:45 GMT2
Hi guys.  Last night I heard this nifty ting-ting-ta-ting-ting-ting
sound under the car as I was turning/parking/driving slowly.  Upon
inspection in the dark with a flashlight it was very clearly one of the
exhaust shields.  The piece in question was hanging down and later

Transmission swap from TH400 to 4L80E (WEIRD!)01 Apr 2006 04:35 GMT4
I have a 1985 GM P30 Van chassis (aluminum Grumman ex-Mail truck) with
a 2001 5.0L GM "crate" engine conversion complete with appropriate
engine and trans. wiring harnesses, computer etc. Canada Post in their

Vortec 7400 mileage01 Apr 2006 04:26 GMT2
I'm considering buying a 2000 1-ton chevy express van.  It has the 7.4L
engine.  Since it's too heavy, no one lists mileage numbers anywhere.
Can someone give me an idea what the mileage will be putting around
town and on the highway (not pulling a trailer)?  thanks.

bio performance01 Apr 2006 01:13 GMT6
Anybody heard of or tried Bio Performance fuel additive. It's suppose
to work in both diesel and gas engines. Smells like mothballs to me,
and it supposedly will increase fuel milage. I'm kinda old school, if
it sounds too good to be true, it probably is.
