I have an 01 Prism with about 45000 miles. I want to do transmission service. Would a flush be the way to go or should I just have the fluid changed and the pan and screen cleaned? ---MIKE---

I've done mechanical work on cars since the mid-60's and have never come across such an engineering screwup as I did today. I was attempting to install new spark plugs in my 2003 S-10 with the 2.2l 4 cyl.

Have others run into the fact that front ends are unlevel on these trucks? Seems as if the right front is higher than left front by about an inch. Rear sides are level/even, so problem seems isolated to the front only. s

Alrighty then. Column is out and disassembled almost all the way to get to the 4 screws/bolts that have (and apparently, routinely) backed out. The problem is the main housing...the portion that encloses the general area of the shifter, tilt, and key/lock cylinder area.
