Prism transmission service24 May 2006 06:36 GMT2
I have an 01 Prism with about 45000 miles.  I want to do transmission
service.  Would a flush be the way to go or should I just have the fluid
changed and the pan and screen cleaned?

'92 Century TC lockup24 May 2006 05:46 GMT4
A friend's car is doing the classic TCC lockup thing where the
converter doesn't disengage from lockup and it wants to die at stop
signs.
 It is a '92 Century, 3300, 117K, and it's a 3 speed automatic, (not
th 350 clunks24 May 2006 05:11 GMT1
Whenever my th350 shifts it clunks and jerks, . Doesnt always do it though.
Sometimes it shifts as nice and smooth as you could ask for. It always
shifts through the gears OK if I have just backed up. The next time it just
clunks through them again. Seems like I heard somewhere a ...
*WARNING* Changing spark plugs on 2003 S-10 w/ 2.2L24 May 2006 02:59 GMT34
I've done mechanical work on cars since the mid-60's and have never come
across such an engineering screwup as I did today.
I was attempting to install new spark plugs in my 2003 S-10 with the 2.2l
4 cyl.
98-04 s10: front ends uneven/unlevel24 May 2006 01:36 GMT3
Have others run into the fact that front ends are unlevel on these
trucks?  Seems as if the right front is higher than left front by about an
inch.  Rear sides are level/even, so problem seems isolated to the front
only.  s

1996 Corsica: Replace Engine?23 May 2006 03:27 GMT38
A little over a week ago.  I was driving home on a 250 mile trip from
Virginia.  There were no signs this was coming.  The car always started
awesome, ran awesome and arrived originally at the destination with no
problems whatsoever.

geo metro problem22 May 2006 21:25 GMT6
I just rebuilt my Geo metro and am having a problem with oil collecting in
the valve cover and pumping into the throttle body.  Every time I warm it up
this happens, as well as intermittently while driving.  I know this happens
when you need rings changed, but I did a complete ...

So, my Factory Service Manual for my 2001 Impala basically says to note

I have a 2001 chevy tracker with 2.5L V6 4x4 with about 53K miles. For the past three months this P0440 code (evaporative emmissions control malfunction) has come on and won't go away, I have replaced the gas cap being told this was a common problem with most cars, no luck. Now ...

How GM can survive22 May 2006 00:12 GMT64

the union and become competitive again. Close the plants in Union
strongholds and keep those with a better labor pool.
I read somewhere of a UAW member janitor making close to 100K/yr with OT.
88 Lesabre Steering Column. ALMOST THERE..............21 May 2006 22:31 GMT1
Alrighty then.  Column is out and disassembled almost all the way to
get to the 4 screws/bolts that have (and apparently, routinely) backed
