Is it true that when a private party sells a used car that they will
claim it as a gift (in California) so that both parties can avoid
paying a tax? Its been suggested to me that "everyone" does it this way
and that my buyer will expect to do it like this when I sell my car. I

Rear Brake Pads - 99 Buick Park Avenue24 Aug 2006 10:18 GMT3
I've changed the front pads on this car a few times with no problem,
but the rear caliper mechanism confuses me.  It seems like there is
only one bolt to remove.  What's the trick to properly changing the
rear brake pads on this car?
2000 Chevy Venture Van Parking lights ?24 Aug 2006 02:21 GMT4
At night when the lights come on automaticly I can not turn on the
parking lights only. You turn the switch and nothing changes. During the
day you turn the switch and it works like it is suppose to.
Is the switch bad or is it something else?

I would change my tranny fluid myself, but if I do it I won't be able to
get it out of my torque converter.  I read on another ng that you can
drill and tap a plug in to the converter.  Is this true?  I have a 1984
gmc 1 ton 350 automatic 400 tranny.

1994 Park Avenue Low Coolant Light23 Aug 2006 05:55 GMT9
I posted this problem in a Buick forum last fall, but never got a
satisfactory answer ... so I'm gonna try here! I'm getting the car
ready to sell, but I hate to try and convince a prospective buyer to
just ignore the warning light!
