I have 95 Century with a two month old reconditioned tranny that
appears to be downshifting to third gear at around 60 mph, usually on a
slight downgrade. Shortly after this started happening on a more
regular basis,  I also noticed a 25% decrease in fuel economy. (It is

Transmission cost06 Aug 2006 22:30 GMT37
I took it to the shop today to get transmission flush and was told
that it was in such a bad shape that if they do the fluid flush, the
car might not move and that the transmission was just buying time
before it goes down.  The question is, how much would it cost to get
Gas Guage malfunctioning06 Aug 2006 16:11 GMT1
I have a 2002 Montana.  Just yesterday, the gas guage started
malfunctioning - reading full when I knew it was below half.  It also jumps

Jeep with GM TBI swap06 Aug 2006 03:52 GMT4
Hey Guys,
I'm sure this isn't one you will come across often.  I've put a Howell
TBI kit onto my Jeep (AMC) 304 V8.  It's got hedders, glass packs, and
an Edelbrock Performer intake.  I have an adapter to mate the GM TBI to
'94 Chevy pickup starting problem05 Aug 2006 20:03 GMT1
I was looking at a '94 Chevy 1500 2WD pickup to buy for a work truck,
350 TBI, and upon trying to start it it had to be cranked for a LONG
time before it took off.  It hadn't been started for a week or so.  It
ran ok once it got started.            Next day I tried to start it and
the economics of continually buying worn out, old beater cars05 Aug 2006 06:08 GMT21
My neighbor keeps buying these old, worn out beaters.  He's been through
about 5 or 6 in the past 2 years.  They're always FWD GM cars, usually
with the 3100, 3300, or 3400 V6 engines.  They always have like at least
120K or up to 170K miles, are at least 10 years old, and they ...
Pontiac G6 rental vehicle05 Aug 2006 02:14 GMT4
Pontiac G6 rental vehicle
I recently put 1500 miles on a G6 rental car.  Flew into Newark, NJ and drove all
over NY, NJ, PA, etc.  I'm 5'7", 170 lbs.  Ordinary build.
The 3500 engine had plenty of power.  Mileage was quite good at 25.8 mpg during
