Peter - I was also unsuccessful.  In the case of the 99 Regal the inner tie
rod end is staked to the steering rack and it would be very difficult to get
rid of those stakes with the rack in place.  The stakes amount to a collar
on the tie rod end that is flattened into respective ...

I just bought this vehicle and it's driving me nuts...  The signal
switch has the cruise control button.  There's a cruise control servo
mounted on the driver's side wheel well all hooked up and ready to go.

I found the best thing in years. They're fuses that light up when they
blow. That way you can see right away which one is bad.
