3.1L V6 FWD 5spd - how do you bleed the hydraulic clutch?31 Oct 2006 12:40 GMT1
I have a 1990 Beretta GT with a 3.1 and a 5-speed manual with hydraulic
clutch.  The pedal has to be pushed pretty close to the floor to engage
the clutch fully, and upon letting it out even a little, it grabs fairly
rapidly.  I was told by the guy who rebuilt the transmission a ...
92 Cutlass Ciera cold idle problem31 Oct 2006 06:19 GMT9
Hi all:  I've got a 92 Cutlass Ciera that, since undergoing a recent major
tune-up, has been exhibiting a cold idle problem described as follows:
About a minute, or so, after a cold start, when the initially rapid
cold-idle speed normally ratchets back to warm-idle speed, the engine ...
Car will not start when hot31 Oct 2006 01:33 GMT6
I have an old Chev with a 350 motor. If I drive the car on hot days or
get tied up in traffic and then turn off the car it will not start for
about 20 minutes. Any ideas why? What can I do?
Thanks for your response
2000 Impala again--Class 2 data30 Oct 2006 21:22 GMT1
Update:
I tested Pin 59 of the PCM to the "splice pack" under the dash, and the
Class 2 data from the PCM to that pack doesn't even return a resistance
value.  That would explain the cluster acting dead, the security
Code Reader30 Oct 2006 16:16 GMT5
Anybody know of a good code reader for
the OBD2 systems ? I was thinking of a
good one, because I will probably use it
allot. Maybe a more deluxe one is what I
20 W 50 Usage29 Oct 2006 19:28 GMT12
What would on use 20 W 50 motor oil in?
I found an unopened case ( circa 1998 ) in my uncles garage.
Both his cars used 5 W 30 and the 88 Kawasakis used 10 W 40. At least
that's what the dealer recently installed in it.
ATF in PS Reservoir28 Oct 2006 18:27 GMT2
I added about a 1/4 cup of Mercon V ATF to my PS reservoir.
Immediately realizing my mistake, I siphoned out all of the PS fluid and ATF
in the reservoir and refilled it with PS fluid, I then siphoned out all of
the fluid again and refilled it a second time with PS fluid, I then ...

98 Lumina Water Pump28 Oct 2006 03:45 GMT2
Friends,
I'm in the middle of replacing the water pump on a 1998, Lumina, 3.1,
sedan.  I have a few dumb questions (the only kind I know how to ask).
1. Does the little raised triangular stud on the pump signify the top?
What a Drag27 Oct 2006 17:40 GMT7
'93 Grand Prix 3.1 automatic. 110,000 miles.
This car hasn't been driven much since I got a job 37 miles from home and I
got a Grand Am because of better gas mileage. I do drive it a little each
month to keep it working. It is always stored under cover.
89 Cadillac Deville Cooling fans keep running27 Oct 2006 13:36 GMT1

appreciated.
89 Deville, turned the car off and the cooling fans keep running. Is
there a relay or sensor of sometype to correct this ?
Diag connector 95 Pontiac27 Oct 2006 12:06 GMT7
I have a 95 Pontiac and I wanted to dump the error codes on it
to find out why the service light was on.
I went to the connector under the dash, and you're supposed to
be able to ground the 'Diag' pin at "B" to ground at "A" and it
Lights off for 30 secs26 Oct 2006 21:44 GMT11
As usual, I turned on the car this morning but all the lights were
off, including the ones in the instrument panel and the
headlights. However, I could shift gears into D/R and the car could
move. After roughly 30 seconds, the lights went on as if there was no
GM Quick-Connect Fitting for Fuel Filter26 Oct 2006 02:40 GMT4
I changed the fuel filter on my 2001 Pontiac Montana.  When I removed
the inlet hose (that has a quick-connect fitting) a small black sleeve
fell out of the hose.  I tried to replace it when re-connecting the new
fuel filter, but it wouldn't fit so I left it out.  There is no leaks.
