Chevy Cobalt ?17 Mar 2008 14:39 GMT21
Anyone here have any first-hand experience
with the Chevy Cobalt ?
Our BUICK is getting a bit "long in the tooth",
and I may be looking for a smaller replacement this summer.

old gm16 Mar 2008 14:45 GMT4
Is it possible to get an old looking gm made of new technology?
I am thinking about some grand looking car but made of lightweight
fibers etc.
I would not mind having my grand old impala made of fibers.
oil in the sand16 Mar 2008 13:16 GMT8
It looks like the price of oil is making new places attractive.
The conventional oil may be in difficult places in the middle east.
The rising prices have made the oil sands more attractive.
So that the sands in Canada will become profitable.
Heater Core Replacement on 1990 Buick Wagon16 Mar 2008 13:11 GMT4
I have a 1990 Buick wagon with smoke coming in the vents after the car
heats up.  I suppose it is the heater core. I don't want to spend big
bucks getting it fixed at a garage.
Which is better -- adding leak repair or connecting inflow and outflow
2000 Monte Carlo Wiper Motor Location?16 Mar 2008 00:52 GMT1
OK - dumb question.  The wipers on my 2000 Monte Carlo SS are
exhibiting symptoms that sound like a bad pulse board on the wiper
motor.  Question is, where is the motor?  There's nothing obvious on
the firewall.  Do I have to remove the plastic cover/grille on the
Consumer Reports reliability: Buick high, Cadillac low15 Mar 2008 03:42 GMT35
Consumer Reports reliability: Buick high, Cadillac low.  May seem hard to
explain, but here goes.
Buicks are owned and driven by oldsters.  90% of them have NEVER
floorboarded the pedal.  They may have a 200 hp engine under the hood, but
200R4 won't shift to 4th, TC not locking15 Mar 2008 00:07 GMT8
Car is an '81 Cadillac deVille diesel.  The transmission won't shift into
overdrive and the torque converter won't lock up.  This started very
recently; before that it worked fine.  Any ideas what exactly is causing
this, what it'll take to fix it, and how likely it is to leave ...

2008 Acura TSX:Sporty and economic, with room for baby.
This car has been a joy to drive in the few short days that I've
driven it. It handles well, has excellent fuel economy and is roomy
without losing the sporty feel. At 28k, it's probably the most

LeSabre noise13 Mar 2008 02:35 GMT18
My 96 LeSabre started to make a noise when we turn. It is on both sides but
worse on the right side. First thing I thought was ball joints. I jacked it
up and no play in the wheels. I greased them just in case. While it was up I
had my wife turn the wheel and found the sound was ...
Envoy 2000 4WD12 Mar 2008 19:57 GMT2
Does anyone know the torque setting for the nut that holds on the
front hub/bearing assembly?
I think it is about 130 lbft

Brake rotor recommendation requested12 Mar 2008 18:22 GMT26
The original brake rotors on my 2002 Aurora have lasted many miles, but it's
time to replace them.
If I buy new replacement rotors from a GM dealer will they be as good as the
originals?
Split rear seats in the Grand Prix12 Mar 2008 14:19 GMT1
I have a 95 Grand Prix that I drive and really like.  It has the solid rear
seat.
I also have a 99 Intrigue that is mostly assigned to my daughter at school.
It has the 'split' rear seats that fold down.
