| gm efi stumble | 21 Apr 2008 01:00 GMT | 1 |
Hi; I have a ’91 suburban 2wd with a 5.7 efi motor. Off idle, it chokes itself and you can smell fuel. If you take your foot off the throttle it clears up. This also happens on the road at part throttle. It gets poor gas mileage. I have run the codes and get a 43. I changed

| Buick TSB's ? | 20 Apr 2008 03:39 GMT | 3 |
Have an '08 Lucerne and was at the dealer the other day and saw a TSB that pertained to some '08 models, but didn't pay too much attention to it. Then went on the net to try to look it up and could find it nowhere. Several others, but not the one I was interested in.

| Update | 19 Apr 2008 23:25 GMT | 5 |
Just a quick update concerning the "backfiring of my 07 malibu: I went to the dealer and was toldthat the car wasn't throwing codes and that I "needed" the 12000 mile servicing for about $700,00. I politely declined. I was then told that I could "get by" with a

96 Buick LeSabre with 3.8 II. 108,000 miles. Just started an oil leak on the fire wall side of the engine. I can see it is above the oil pan. My question is with the problems of intake gaskets do they leak coolant or oil?

| 02 Impala strange oil leak | 18 Apr 2008 00:22 GMT | 3 |
My '02 Impala LS (3.8L, 60K miles) has developed an odd oil leak. Oil is pooled on both the front and rear of the engine near the middle fuel injector in an indentation in the metal intake near that spot. I did use some Lucas Oil injector cleaner recently, but don't know if this

A friend of mine bought a 2000 Bonneville, 3800 without supercharger, 85000 miles, and I drove it for a few miles just to see how she did. The first thing I notice going down the highway at 55 mph is that the tach is up around 2 grand instead of the 1600 or so rpms it should be

| Code P0101: Is the MAF really the problem? | 17 Apr 2008 20:52 GMT | 7 |
My 2000 Buick Park Avenue stalls while driving. I get no SES light but my scanner does show the MAF code, P0101, after this happens. The car will only restart if I clear the code. So I'm basically wondering if the MAF sensor is NOT the culprit, since the cleared code makes the ...

Haven't bought a new replacement Delco battery in ages, so am just curious. a. Does the dealer have to "activate" the battery first when he pulls it from stock by adding water or acid to it these days ? I seem to remember that years ago, they did.

| Fuel consumption at idle? | 17 Apr 2008 02:27 GMT | 17 |
Does anyone know the actual fuel consumption when an engine is at idle? Say the very common 3.8 GM engine for instance. Every gas saving tip articles says not to let your car warm up for long but they never say how much you are burning.
