Manhours per car29 Nov 2008 23:36 GMT24
How many manhours are required to assemble a car on the actual assembly
line?
who is really to blame.29 Nov 2008 06:37 GMT8
If you want to blame someone, maybe the politicians, who could have
increased MPGs by raising the price of gasoline and having consumers
demand better mileage instead of keeping it low and letting people drive
those big trucks without paying too much in gas costs.
'98 3800 harmonic balancer removal28 Nov 2008 00:34 GMT6
I'm trying to pull the balancer on my '98 Olds LSS (3800 N/A) to replace my
crank position sensor. I've been told that the threads for the three small
bolts that secure the puller to the balancer for removal are M6x1x80+mm, but
the three bolts I picked up (M6x1x100mm) and tried ...
GM to Invest $1B in Brazil27 Nov 2008 16:01 GMT1
I've been so irritated that GM might receive a handout instead of
going through Chapter 11 and now here's an article that really got
me.  (See below.)

And I Thought Every Nickle Counts27 Nov 2008 15:03 GMT9
It's a myth that Detroit thinks a nickle saved per car is important to the
bottom line.  Millions of cars add up, so the myth goes.
If that is the case, how do you explain a Lucerne I saw on a Safeway
parking lot?  It featured non-functional "exhaust" portholes, three on each
2009 Buick LeSabre Questions Re Odometer, A/C, etc. from Sr. Citizen27 Nov 2008 04:06 GMT2
There doesn't seem to be a Buick specific forum (is there a good, active one
somewhere ?), so let me ask her.
Just got a new 2009 Buick LaCrosse.
Trying to program all the options.
1997 2.2 chevy cavalier p0300 random misfire fuel injector26 Nov 2008 01:55 GMT8
I have a 1997 cavalier showing p0300 random misfire on cyl 1&4.
Changed plugs/wires/coil/ICM with no result. Swapped #3 injector for
#4 and miss followed injector. Swapped 1&2 and 3&4 and it followed the
injectors again. So now we are missing on 2 & 4.
Another word on quality25 Nov 2008 13:25 GMT3
I picked up an older copy of Consumer Reports Automobile edition this
morning,
and found they had included a tabulation of problems and their frequency

Now that Congress has turned a cold shoulder to a bailout, here's what
the failing automaker should do next.
Here it comes again24 Nov 2008 02:46 GMT2
Another wave of bailout groups has now appeared.
Transit companies got into a deal where they sold their rolling stock to
banks, which then leased them back to the transit companies.  The
point here was to take advantage of the tax credits the transit companies
Poor GM23 Nov 2008 20:22 GMT9
With any luck at all GM may finally be finished. I dont think their door
will close, they will just be bought out, maybe by Toyota or Mahindra fro
India. Then maybe thay can go back to building good cars again , minus som
of the products that got them in the mess they are in now.

Don't know what is true, and what is not, but it does paint an interesting
picture of the Holy Toyota.
