The trans works as it always has, but the shifting from park to drive,
reverse, etc is VERY hard to do.  Seems to be a linkage problem.  Hopeful
something external that needs lubed.  Any ideas?  She has 165k on her.  I'll

I'm hoping someone's familiar with this problem. I have a 2000 Acoorde SE
that makes a clunk anytime I shift from park into reverse and it's
particularly loud if the car was sitting for a while (hours). Mileage is 26K
(low) and the tranny is smoothe but the noise defeats me.

Hope one of you can lend some help.  I just bought a new 2004 Element,
and the dealer offers an extended warranty (of course!).  I've only
