| "High mileage" motor oil | 16 Aug 2004 05:50 GMT | 40 |
I was offered Valvoline "high mileage" motor oil the other day when having my oil changed. I have a 90 Accord LX, 136K. Should I be using this stuff? Is there anything to its claims of being better for my ol' bucket o' bolts?

| timing belt replacement | 16 Aug 2004 05:27 GMT | 12 |
I've just turned 100,000 kms on a 2000 civic, 4 cylinder. I purchased it 7 months ago w/ 80,000. The vehicle seems to have been well maintained and I've been changing the oil every 5,000. What about the timing belt? I know the maintenance schedule calls for it to be done around now ...

Well I live in Canada and my 2000 Civic just turned 100,000 Kms. I want this vehicle to run a lot longer and so thought I'd call into the dealership and see about having the timing belt changed. To my surprise the young lady there said that the specs have been changed and I don't ...

| Whats the deal with the new oil change intervals?????? | 15 Aug 2004 21:16 GMT | 16 |
2004 accord lx..the maintenance schedule specifically states that under normal driving conditions to change the oil only at 10k, filter at 20k, oil again at 30k and so on. Although I am no engineer I am going to have to pass on this piece of advice

My question is this: My local dealer has an '04 accord with 200 miles on it. Apparently the car has been driven under test drive conditions but not sold yet. Should one expect to get a car like this at invoice price ?? Are the 200 miles on it so tiny that

| Has anyone put 18" wheels on their Element?? | 15 Aug 2004 20:03 GMT | 6 |
I'm considering getting some 18" wheels for handling and because the selection of performance tires on the stock wheels is non-existent. I live in Minnesota and have heard very bad things about the OEM tires (tire rack reviews). Any feedback would be appreciated.

| Avoid Keeler Honda in Latham, NY | 15 Aug 2004 03:30 GMT | 2 |
Their service department is the worst. If you have *any* problems with your vehicle as delivered, they will claim they are normal. I had a leak at an O-ring seal they claimed was normal/due to my overfilling the container. Sure...Honda designed it to leak.
