Induction service 2001 Honda Accord23 Aug 2004 20:01 GMT2
I drive a Honda certified 2001 Accord.
I bought it frmo a dealer at 44K. I did some "heavy driving" (some 9K
miles in the past 4 months) and the vehicle was due for 52.5K service.
I gave my car for service in the morning and the service personnel
Transmission gone: 98 Accord V6 (only 103K miles!!!):23 Aug 2004 19:40 GMT12
My transmission has been acting up lately. but last night after a 10
hour drive (Buffalo to Boston) I think it's finally gone. When in D3
or D4 it is hunting for gears and over-reving the engine as it
violently kicks in (literally spinning my front tires as I though I am
weird distributor cap-eating thing, 85 Civic hatchback23 Aug 2004 19:17 GMT6
So I have this Honda, US car, 352K miles, 1300cc engine, and for the
last few years the thing has been eating a distributor cap and rotor
once a year or so.  The symptoms are very odd.  The inside of the cap
is always kind of oily damp with a really sharp acid smell, the
I finally did it!23 Aug 2004 18:27 GMT10
500 miles on a single tank with my 91 Accord. Then I filled my car and I did
490 miles the same day! I was going to hit 500 again but when I hit a
traffic jam I decided to exit and get some gas. My previous record was 454
miles.
95 Integra Radiator23 Aug 2004 17:23 GMT5
How much have people for a radiator replacement?  It's an RS, so no A/C. I
live canada, so let me know what currency you're quoting in.
Thanks,
david
1990 Honda Civic ECU23 Aug 2004 13:11 GMT4
A frieds daughters Civic would not start today.
Gave an error code of 16 flashes. She has had this
issue a few times before. After doing all the checks,
everything looked gooed, except for the +12V across
weak pedal after bleeding (4X!)23 Aug 2004 06:11 GMT10
1995 Del Sol VTEC.
I've hit a roadblock. I've bled the system 4X and flushed out the old
brake fluid with motomaster crap before flushing it again with genuine
honda fluid. Although it's my first time bleeding brakes, at this
2004 Honda Accord - Knocking noise in engine23 Aug 2004 03:19 GMT19
2004 Honda Accord EX
At low RPMs there is a knocking noise when I press the accelerator.
The car was bought less than a year ago, but the dealer is asking $112
just to check it out. Should I check with another dealer? Should the
01 Accord, Sticky Throttle23 Aug 2004 01:52 GMT5
I know it sounds more like an outboard motor question, but it's not.  The
gas pedal is sticky from the get go, so if I start from a dead stop there's
no smooth way to do it - the car "jumps".  Does anyone know what I should
lube or WD40? It's a V6 and I'd appreciate some suggestions ...
Honda Coolant??22 Aug 2004 21:21 GMT21
I went down to the dealership today like a good boy and
asked for Honda Coolant.  They asked if I was 'Type 1'
or 'Type 2'.  I had no idea, so I told them I have a 98
Civic LX.  They said 'OK you are Type 2' and gave me NAPA
Missing Gear22 Aug 2004 20:27 GMT4
I have just test driven a 1998 Auto 2.2  Prelude (60K) and after testing out
the car I hard accelerated from some traffic lights in D3 with myself and 3
passengers and as the box changed from 1st to second it seemed to miss the
gear and rev and go into neutral, with me being nowhere ...
1997 Honda CRV- make "U" turn which  cause "woooh" sound22 Aug 2004 20:13 GMT1
I purchased a used 1997 Honda CRV. Lately, I have been hearing sound from
underneath my car. I checked underneath for any damages; but no damages
were found. I only hear the "woooh" sound when I make a sharp "U" turn
eitherleft or right turn. However, if I make only a half round "U" ...
ball joints- question about protecting them from dirt22 Aug 2004 16:07 GMT3
I've had two mechanics tell me that wether its a dry  front end ball
joint or one that is enclosed in grease-
If you coat the ENTIRE assembly -the rubber boot included-with a
great big gob of grease- you will keep dirt away from the ball and
Good XM Radio Discount in mail today - after I canceled22 Aug 2004 13:13 GMT31
Since I haven't been driving my '04 Accord much, I let the XM lapse
after the free 3 months.  XM has sent me 5 or 6 letters, trying to get
me to sign up again at the standard $10 a month.  No deal.
Now, 2 1/2 months after I discontinued the service, they've finally
Question about struts22 Aug 2004 11:11 GMT1
I was told by one of intelligent members of this newsgroup that I need new
struts. The problem is obviously on the front end since the rear tires
show almost no signs of wear. There is excessive wear on the front right
tire (passenger side) and normal wear on the front let side tire ...
