Bolt Removal Problems01 Oct 2004 00:02 GMT15
The head on the lower mounting bolt of my 91 Civic's rear left shock absorber
sheared off. Same for the bolt joining the control arm to the trailing arm. From
groups.googling, I see this is a common occurrence. So far I have broken two
screw extractors and one cobalt drill bit. I ...

Good/Fair Deal for me?30 Sep 2004 15:40 GMT7
Yesterday, I purchased a new 2004 Accord EX with leather seats and XM radio,
4 cylinder, automatic transmission, paid cash of $21,100 +TTL, no "extended"
warranty purchased.
This is the first "foreign", non-US made car I've purchased.
Looking for info on Civic timing belt30 Sep 2004 14:16 GMT4
Yep, i blew a timing belt on a '89 Civic 1.5L engine.  Despite the
warnings form mechanically inclined friends, i'm going to try to replace
it myself.  If anyone knows of a good resource for information on this
replacement, I would love to hear about it.  Thx in advance.
Accord EX 2004 vs 200530 Sep 2004 13:33 GMT11
I am on the verge of buying an Accord EX (automatic, 4 cylinder). I'll
probably buy a 2004, but want to make sure there isn't some spectacular
reason (other than depreciation) that I should be interested in the 2005.
What's new for the 2005 model? Anything?
Increasing fuel mileage by injecting ether. 30 Sep 2004 05:01 GMT41
Several years ago I've read a book on how to inject ether in
low amounts into the carburetor to increase gas mileages.
I'd been wanting to add ether or some octane booster into
the fuel tank and adjust the inputs into the O2 sensor to
2003 Civic - SRS Computer reset after accident?30 Sep 2004 03:27 GMT2
My brother just bought a 2003 Civic with rear end damage. The air bags
didn't blow but, apparently, there is something that blows in the front seat
belts? I have never heard of this! Now, I guess the SRS computer has to be
reset. Problem: he can't get the car registered until the ...

I was wondering if someone could help me with my minor annoying problem.  I

Problem is you hear a whirling sound from the speakers. It's pitch increases
2005 Accord, stock radio inquiry30 Sep 2004 02:05 GMT1
just got it (GREAT car by the way!!) and want to hook in my iPOD. It must
be too early because no one seems to know anything about this basic, less
than impressive stock radio...my guess is that I will have to disconnect
the XM radio for the auxillary input, but havent gotten
Cost of 2004 CR-V, EX, Auto30 Sep 2004 01:09 GMT3
I am about to purchase a 2004 CR-V EX with Auto Transmission in Southern
California.  My quote (before tax, license and doc fees) is 20620, which is
roughly $700 under invoice.  While the 2004 CR-V is not out (yet), it is
rather close to the end of the model year.  I like this ...
2002 Civic Replaced ELD for AC-now what?29 Sep 2004 20:02 GMT2
I have been having trouble with the AC in my Civic.  The tech replaced both
pressure switches then the Electric Load Detector because he got a code that
the ELD was not working right.  The problem is the compressor doesn't engage
about 50% of the time.  I get air blowing but not ...

The left front shows uniform tread wear on inboard side ; right front same
