I just came back talking to Mechanic about change of Timing belt, What
he tells me is  , that he can change the belt without getting the
engine off, if he can do that why can't he just have a look at the belt
and let me know the condition of the belt, is he bluffing ???

Advice needed: Looking for new car, perhaps Honda17 Sep 2004 06:11 GMT25
Ok, I used to have a Honda 15+ years ago.  It was first made in Canada
and I have been plagued with problems from day one.  I said to myself
that I would never get another Honda.
Now, I am selling my 2002 VW Jetta because it too has many problems.

There I was, on the way home from the airport Thursday night after a week
out of town on business when my 'check engine' light comes on (2000
Accord)....  I immediately dial up the dealership, where they advise me to
bring it in asap.  I tell them Ill drop it off that night at the ...

I have a 1995 Civic.  I've noticed that recently, the temperture gauge goes
from just under half way to sometimes 3/4 while I am driving.  It goes up
for a few minutes then goes back down again.  This cycle continues
throughout the driving and usually starts about 20 minutes into ...

Driving cross country in a 97 Civic; should I replace the timing belt?17 Sep 2004 04:39 GMT26
I know very little of cars, so I figured I'd get some input from anyone
in this newsgroup.
I have a 97 Honda Civic EX that I bought new. It's seen it's share of
battles and the body isn't the most flawless one you'll see, but for the
Transmission stumbling at 40mph17 Sep 2004 04:31 GMT2
I have a 00 Odyssey.  49K.  Transmission replaced a couple of weeks ago.
Seems ok.  But I have noticed it shifts harder from 1st to 2nd than any
other.  And if I hang my speed at around 40mph, it seems that the
transmission is in/out, in/out, kinda of stumbling in and out.
I will run your VIN History Report for $317 Sep 2004 04:12 GMT3

someone else's, here's how:
Let me know via email the VIN you want to lookup OR to save a step, send
$3 via paypal with the VIN # in the comments field. I will then promptly
damper17 Sep 2004 03:54 GMT3
I have an 02 civic with 30K miles. Brought it to dealer  for an oil change
and they replaced a leaking "damper" which they said is the same as a shock.
Is it unusual for a "damper" to leak at the mileage?
