Straight Pipe - am I getting ripped off?26 Oct 2004 02:00 GMT4
Hey, I took my 2000 Civic SiR in today to have a dealership look at a
squeaking sound when i first take off.  Thought it was going to be just a
heat shield (which I have had in the past) but turns out they tell me that
there is a baffel in the straight pipe loose and that I need ...

92 Accord LX parking lights remain on25 Oct 2004 15:16 GMT2
Have a problem with my 92 Accord LX. Rear parking lights and brake lights
(excuse my beginner's terminology) remain on all the time and won't go off.
Even if the car is off, keys are out, the lights remain on. I've tried to
pull the brake pedal out a bit, and also tried pushing ...
1983 Dual Carb Setup25 Oct 2004 09:56 GMT3
Hi folks, I have an '83 Honda Prelude with a Motor from an 89 prelude.  My
car didn't have the chip for fuel injection so I had to put the dual carbs
on the motor.  I'm just having one hell of a time seting up the carbs so
it'll run correctly. Anywhere I might find help to do ...
88 Accord, Poor Compression, Chugging sound at exhaust25 Oct 2004 09:41 GMT4
I have an 88 Honda Accord with 371,000 KM on it and I think the problem is
that it is basically worn out. The compression on all cylinders is between
75 & 90 psi. It is suppose to be at least 141 according to the manual. The
timing belt needed changing so I did that job a couple of ...
94 Civic: handbrake failure on one side25 Oct 2004 04:43 GMT1
I finally had an opportunity to investigate the handbrake problem I
raised some weeks ago. Not as simple as I would've hoped.
I've got rear disc brakes, so the handbrake cable attaches to the
"parking brake arm" as described in the service manual (p. 19-5). This
US/Canada timing belt interval scam?24 Oct 2004 19:30 GMT18
In the US the recommended interval for timing belt change
for a 91 Accord is 100,000 miles. Correct?
In Canada it is 100,000 km. Correct?
But, 100,000 miles = 160,000 km.
Changing Brakes and Disc on a ** Honda Civic 98 Hatchback DX**24 Oct 2004 18:57 GMT2
Would like some advice regarding the eventual replacement of my used up disc
pads and disc *front*.
I heard that it's better to have first quality as for the brake pads
themselves (ceramic composition) and on the disc it's possible to use a
2005 Diesel Accord ....  92 mpg!24 Oct 2004 13:24 GMT3
When would we see this Accord Stateside?? Perhaps when low sulfur
diesel becomes available in 2006? (The MPG will be somewhat lower
here, as the US gallon is slightly smaller than the Imperial
one......but still impressive fuel economy!).
