excessive brake ware on crv16 Dec 2004 16:08 GMT2
Does anybody have a problem with the brake system on the crv?  We have
a 2002 crv with 60000 miles and have put on two sets of brakes.  It
looks like the fronts ware out every 30000.  This last time the garage
said he has never seen so much rust on a newer cars rotors.  We live

We just got our first cold snap here in winnipeg, and my
girlfriend says she's having idle problems.  It stalls
when she doesn't keep her foot on the gas.
I seem to remember her having this problem last winter, but

Hello group,
I have an '89 Honda Civic with 156k miles.  Have owned it since '91 and
40k miles.  I have seen a _very_ sporadic electrical problem since at
least '96, but it was at the once-a-year level, so I haven't done
Headlight Switch?15 Dec 2004 23:17 GMT5
I have a '91 Civic. The cold weather (below freezing) has finally been a
consistent reality where I live, and my headlights are acting up. I'm
thinking its gotta be the switch, and I'd like to see if anyone has any
experience with this.
Hybrid Civic15 Dec 2004 21:19 GMT7
The other day, I had an opportunity to drive a 2003 Honda Civic Hybrid
from Albany, NY to Watertown, NY and back...about 360 miles total. My
personal car is a 1998 Honda Civic sedan, so the cars were quite
similar in size and feel. This is the first time that I have ever had
beep when key in ignition and driver's door open15 Dec 2004 20:14 GMT14
94 Civic EX. I find it quite annoying that the alert that sounds when
the key is in the ignition and the driver's door is open apparently
can't be turned off easily. There are plenty of times that I want the
door open while listening to the radio, and that infernal beep either

Why is there no indication to warn of no coolant15 Dec 2004 17:06 GMT5
I have a 2001 civic. The water pump leaked and all the coolant came
out. After driving it for a while the engine melted, surprise. the
thing is, there was no indication on the temp gauge of overheating and
there was no warning of any kind that the coolant was empty. shouldn't
Fog on winshield (inside) during winter (97 Accord)15 Dec 2004 14:51 GMT10
I have a 97 Honda Accord. I recently moved from a much warmer climate
to michigan where the winters are brutal. Often, I get a buildup of fog
on the inside windshield, sometimes frosty as well. It can take the
climate control cracked on high almost 30 minutes before it clears up.
93 civic engine swap15 Dec 2004 13:55 GMT2
I am looking to swap out my engine from my 93 civic ex and replace it with
an 94 integra B18BG1 engine.  Does anyone know if this will be a straight
drop in or will I run into unforseen problems.
Thanks,
'00 CR-v Check Engine Light (valves)15 Dec 2004 12:45 GMT2
Does everyone know about all the message traffic regarding valve adjustment
on the 1st Gen. CR-v?  Evidently, if you follow the manual and adjust the
valves using its schedule you stand a good chance of burning your valves and
needing costly maintenance.  I only know this because ...

i have a problem with my brakes.
They failed the other day. They're soft and spongy.
The pedal, whel the engine is off, is quite firm, but sinks to the
floor. With the engine on, its got very little resistance before it

Well I have now replaced my main relay with a new one from Napa(I had
previously re-soldered all the points) and I replaced the ignition switch
with OEM Honda part. But I still have a problem.
I can be driving and the thing just cuts out like the power was turned off
