Accord V6 Brakes28 Feb 2005 22:15 GMT6
Anyone have problems with rotors warping often on a 2001-2002 Honda
Accord V6?  I've had mine done about every 20K since it was new because
the pulsing when braking gets unbearable.  This car also seems to eat
through pads fairly quickly.  I am not an aggresive driver by any ...
Creaking noise turning the steering wheel to the extremes28 Feb 2005 18:34 GMT2
I had my power steering rack replaced ~ 7000 miles ago. I'm literally 12
miles away from passing 36k (warranty expiration), and now there's
another problem - when I turn the steering wheel to the extremes, I hear
a loud creaking noise. Any ideas what it could be? Just want to be ...
2003 Honda Accord Oil Drain Washer Replacement28 Feb 2005 14:09 GMT20
The Honda manual recommends that the washer be replaced with every oil
change.  As a result, I end up going to a Honda dealer and pay a
premium for a fairly commoditized service.  I follow the manual's
suggestion as to when to do maintenance services.

I have a 1995 Honda Civic GLi (D15) and when I start it in the morning
the engine is quite noisy. It produces a ticking noise and goes away
after 5 minuets then the car is fine. It only happens when the car is
cold, once it has been driven it will not do it again during the ...

1.5 civic   non vtec cylinder head gasket questions.28 Feb 2005 05:26 GMT4
I am currently replacing the cylinder gasket on a 1992 Civic engine
D15B7. The last time that a valve job was performed a special head
gasket and head bolts were used in accordance with TSB 97-047. A valve
job is being performed because of a burnt exhaust valve. The head bolts
FORD buying majority share of Honda28 Feb 2005 05:13 GMT29
I just heard that Ford Motor Company is purchasing up to 40% of all
shares of Honda.  This is not official yet, but it is in the works.
Interesting...
Honda Crankshaft pulley falls off28 Feb 2005 05:04 GMT6
I just replaced the crabkshaft pulley on my 1999 Accord for the SECOND time
after it fell off while driving the car.  The first time it fell off at 65K
miles.  I bought the car new, did all the required maintenance myself,  and
had NEVER touched that assembly.  I had to replace the ...
Switch to Synthetic Oil?28 Feb 2005 05:03 GMT5
Hi, I just bought a 99 Accord w/100000 kms on the clock. She has used Honda
bulk oil for her whole life, just wondering if it's safe to make a switch to
Synthetic or do I need to worry about leaks? Also if it is okay which brand
is the best bet, has to be readily available as ...

my toyota truck won't shift out of 4 wheel drive. Would worn clutch have
anything to do with it?
Ping jim beam: Trailing arm bushing...28 Feb 2005 04:49 GMT6
You changed your trailing arm front bushings and sent me photos.
I'm contemplating replacing mine as well, because they are beginning to
break up.
However, OEM front bushings are unavailable separately, coming only as part
'88 Accord PCV valve28 Feb 2005 04:34 GMT2
If I have PCV valve, would this cause problems?
Sorry for the newbie question, I am used to working on diesels!  This
is my 4th Honda but the 1st one I've worked on.  I am having a
timing/running problem I mentioned in another post too.
accord trans fluid change28 Feb 2005 02:58 GMT6
I drained the fluid and was only able to get 2.5 quarts out. What is the
total fluid in the transaxle and should I change it again. 98 v-6 110 k 20 k
since last change at dealer.
Gasket Sealant28 Feb 2005 02:07 GMT1
I put on a new valve cover gasket and spark plug tub o-rings.  I used
permatex, high temp rtv silicone gasket maker.  All it says on the tube is
that it is completely cured in 24 hours.  Does that mean it shouldn't be ran
in 24 hours or will it be ok to run it?
Bad Transmission/Gear Synch or Just need new clutch?28 Feb 2005 02:04 GMT2
1987 Accord DX 223,000 miles.
Original clutch.
Sometimes almost impossible to get into first gear from dead stop - will go
into 1st easily while still coasting to a stop.
