97 Accord loses power while driving15 Jun 2005 23:56 GMT3
I own a 97 Accord LX; 4-DR; 4cyl; 120,000 miles.
I’m the original owner.  This has been a very reliable car.
Problem:  Occasionally, my car will lose power while driving.  I coast
to the side of the road, shut off the car & it starts back up again.
2005 Civic problem15 Jun 2005 20:57 GMT2
My sister got a new civic couple of weeks ago.  Everytime we drive
more than 5 minutes and then stop and shut off the car.  I can hear
this ding ding ding metal sound around the engine/ muffler area.  It
will start to slow down and then stop when the engine get cold.  This
'05 Accord radio - volume abruptly goes down after a few minutes15 Jun 2005 19:36 GMT7
The volume of my radio abruptly reduces after a few minutes of
playing. I can get it back by pressing another station select button
and then going back to the original station. But after a while, the
volume drops again.
'98 Civic LX 5-speed.  IAC replacement15 Jun 2005 18:40 GMT1
Is replacement of an idle air control valve something the home mechanic
can do?  Any tricky calibration required after replacement?
(Valve failure was diagnosed by dealer, but the car, with my daughter in
it, left the area before it could be fixed.  Now she wants to do it
No Oil on Dipstick prior to 3,000 mile mark15 Jun 2005 08:43 GMT9
I got my oil changed this weekend and for the second time in a row, there was
no oil on the dipstick.  The car has always gone for it's usual oil change
every 3,000 miles, so I'm not sure why there's no oil.  There is no
noticeable leakage anywhere.  It was suggested that I get an ...
What are the best model years to purchase used Honda Accords?15 Jun 2005 06:03 GMT6
I'm about to purchase a used Honda Accord and am wondering whether
there are some model years which are preferable to others.  I'm not
keen on the styling of 1996 Hondas so I thought I would purchase
something a little earlier or just a bit later.  I want to spend
91 Civic corrosion of rotor button15 Jun 2005 04:27 GMT7
I was helping a friend recently with his 91 civic sedan (D15 engine code I
think).  The car wouldn't start so we went through the ususal things and
finally arrived at the distributor.  The contacts were corroded and we
cleaned them as a temporary fix.  Car started right up.  I ...
Do Chilton manuals have complete electrical charts?15 Jun 2005 03:44 GMT5
My daughter wants to be able to work on her '98 Civic LX manual.  She
found a Chilton manual at
http://www.delmarlearning.com/browse_product_detail.aspx?catid=11967&isbn=156392
4307&cat1ID=AU&cat2ID=CHM

and thinks I should know if it will have complete electrical schematics.
Tegger: Did you do your clutch yet?15 Jun 2005 03:15 GMT2
I'm curious. I did my first a few weeks ago on my '91 Civic Si, and so
far so good. I know you've got an Integra, but here's a few things I
thought I'd share:
I didn't go sttrictly OEM, but As I understand it I basically got the

Looking for advice about service for Accord15 Jun 2005 00:45 GMT2
I'm looking for advice about the best way
to service my Honda Accord 2001 4cyl. It is past

1991 Civic Stalls14 Jun 2005 23:24 GMT5
My car has developed a problem that I cannot find a solution to.  It is
a 1991 Honda Civic Special Edition (Canadian Model), 1.5L, 180,000kms.
It is basically a DX with power steering and no AC.
To the problem...
Honda Jazz UK CVT holding on hills14 Jun 2005 17:02 GMT9
We just bought a Honda Jazz 1.4 CVT in the UK and love it, except for
one thing. We live on a hill, and it doesn't hold its position when
you're in gear, stationary, and take your foot off the brake. This
makes manoeuvring in and out of tight parking spots a rather exciting
More frugal?  Keep car or trade often?14 Jun 2005 15:00 GMT60
Im curious what everyone thinks on this issue.
Is it more frugal to buy a new car..... and drive it
till its wheels fall off..... get 300k miles on it.
Or is it actually better to trade up every few years
