2005 Odyssey Brakes?18 Jul 2005 01:03 GMT3
I purchased a new 2005 Odyssey in March of this year.  Lately I have
been hearing strange sounds coming from my front brakes.  I took it
into a dealer and initially they told me that they had another 2005
owner come in with the same problem and the district manager was

Surprising Insurance Appraisal on a 6 yr old Civic17 Jul 2005 19:22 GMT7
A few weeks ago, we lost our 1999 Honda Civic due to theft.  In this case
the thief stole my daughter purse while she was out with friends and they
proceeded to her apartment where she attends college and stole her car.  It
has never been recovered.  We had no intention of being ...

Hello.  I own a 2003 Accord 4-cyl and wondering what, if any
difference, having mostly highway mileage on my car does to the
frequency needed for my oil change?  The manual recommends every 5,000
miles/6 months.  Does the fact that at least 75% of my mileage comes

Battery drains overnight (twice.) `89 Accord Honda17 Jul 2005 04:36 GMT6
One morning the car won't start because of a dead battery. I'd jump
started it and went on my way. The next morning, the battery had
drained again. I pop the hood and turn on the ignition and notice the
AC fan is running. Then I charge the battery I connect the battery
how to get bolt out from civic alternator?17 Jul 2005 03:00 GMT7
I have been using pb blaster, but the bolt will not slide out from the lower
mounting of the alternator - 94 civic lx.  I can't even move the alt by
hand, so I have been using a prybar and large sledge hammer - then it moves,
but won't free up enough to release the through bolt.

checked out at the local parts store.  I noticed the exhaust has white steam
coming out the tailpipe, looking like when the head gasket went.  The head
is torqued properly.
Civic LX 97 not-so-stellar-performance16 Jul 2005 18:48 GMT14
I got this Civic LX 97 a few weeks ago. I checked the engine
compression, it is OK, all cylinders 158-161psi.
I also have a 2001 Civic LX that my wife drives now. Both cars are
manual transmission.
When does the cooling fan come on?16 Jul 2005 14:58 GMT4
Surprisingly, I'm having trouble getting an answer to what seems to me
like a simple question.  I have a '97 Accord, which is running very
hot.  What I've noticed is that if I'm stopped (with the temperate
gauge nearly in the red zone), the fan does NOT come on if the engine
