98 Civic LX (canadian) non-vtec 5-spd. 228000kms. Just wondering, since I have just installed a tachometer, I can now see my engine speed. So now the real question, what are the optimal shift points for my car. Optimal meaning how can I get the best fuel economy?

I am trying to diagnose and fix a problem on my 1993 Accord LX. I have a lever type hot/cold selector and when I put it all the way to cold I still get warm air and when I slide the lever to warmer, it gets hotter.

I have a several questions that I would appreciate input on. I think the noise is probably coming from what we use to call the throw out bearing so I'm thinking it needs a clutch kit installed. The noise changes when the clutch pedal is depressed (louder).
