I been approached privately by someone who was told that he could improve
his gas mileage by removing the rear driveshafts in his AWD CR-V.
Beyond telling him some basics, I could not answer his questions about
potential damage to the drivetrain. So with his permission I'm posting ...

Timng Belt12 Oct 2005 01:24 GMT6
I have been following some of the recent threads about changing timng
belts.  My wife and I have a 1998 Honda Civic LX which we bought 7
years ago new.  We have about 73,000 miles on it.  Most of our driving
is urban with some highway driving.  We get about 10,000 miles a year.
Michelin Tires11 Oct 2005 23:23 GMT3
I'm thinking about replacing the OEM tires on my 2003 Accord and was
considering the Michelin Hydroedge tires.  Has anyone used these on an
Accord?  How are they?  Another reason I'm concerned is that my dealer told
me there used to be a problem with the older Michelin X-One tires ...
2006 Honda Civic Sedan11 Oct 2005 17:20 GMT5
Saw the first pictures today.
Why the Tachometer is so big?  Isn't an Odometer more important?
Did I see the rear appearance, particularly the lights in another car,
i.e. 2006 Audi A4?

Hybrid Accord11 Oct 2005 08:16 GMT4
I am considering an Accord Hybrid 2006.   I like the specs but so far I
haven't been able to test-drive one.   Because of the high demand, there is
a long wait time (3 to 6 months in Canada), I am forced to pay list price
with no choices of colours or finishes.
