I was speaking with a dealer this weekend about the new 2006 Accord
Sedan with 6-speed manual transmission.  He said they would be

Accelerator self-accelerating06 Oct 2005 14:17 GMT6
I have a 1999 Honda Civic EX.  Lately I have noticed that, sometimes
when accelerating rapidly, I am getting an additional burst of
unwanted speed.  Once when this happened, I felt the accelerator kind
of pop back and release.  A couple of times I’ve had to hit the brake

I have posted a similar message last week regarding my 98 Civic LX

I have a 1988 Honda Prelude that has noise coming out of the speedometer
that sounds like brake noise.  It is erratic and sometimes almost goes
away but then it comes back.  Has anyone had this problem or know of a
simple solution?
Civic Brake/Fuel Line Replacement Cost06 Oct 2005 02:59 GMT2
My wife's 99 Civic sedan blew a brake line and was spewing brake fluid
all over the drive way. Towed to the dealer, they got back to us and
said the brake line needed replacement (doh!), the fuel line was
corroded to the point of near failure and all the brakes needed
Use of Thermacare on Kami06 Oct 2005 02:28 GMT5
I was using a thermacare wrap for my neck because my car was totalled
with me in it a week ago, and when it started to fizzle out, I plopped
it over Kami's shoulders.  She seemed to really like it.  I know she
loves the heating pad to sleep on in the windert (with lots of padding ...
'91 Accord - repair cost for new alternator 05 Oct 2005 21:15 GMT5
The local autoshop quoted me $450 to install a new alternator on my
'91 Accord.  Isn't that quote on the high side?  Any advice would be
appreciated.
TIA

Honda Accord EX '9005 Oct 2005 16:01 GMT3
I have an 1990 Honda Accord ex automatic which has been sitting on my
driveway for 6 months now. It starts fine but as soon as I shift to

same engine response. The problem started after I changed the cylinder
1991 Civic Salvage Title05 Oct 2005 15:02 GMT7
Okay guys, a little more help.  My car was officially declared dead
today.  I was given the option of taking $2,060 for it and they keep
the car, or give me $1590 for it and a salvage title.  I'm not sure
about the rules of salvage vehicles.  Is it a benefit to me keep it
04 Odyssey Mileage05 Oct 2005 14:34 GMT4
I have a 2004 Odyssey with 29,300 miles.  I average around town (pretty flat
here in Ohio) around 13-14 mpg with lite acceleration.  Hwy mileage is
pretty decent around 22 mpg at 70-75 mph.
How does this compare to others?  I was getting 10-12 mpg and dealer did a

Replaced brake pads on front of my 99 accord two weeks ago.   I used the best Bendix pads
