aftermarket paint?26 Oct 2005 00:00 GMT2
I need to touch-up a few spots on my 90 Accord ("Seattle Silver
Metallic"). I'm wondering, is it a good idea to stick to Honda paint,
or do the aftermarket manufacturers get the color right?

towing with 05 accord?25 Oct 2005 17:52 GMT4
I'm picking up a new 05 (demo) Accord later on this week.  4cyl auto lx-g.
I'd like to use it to tow a 600lb atv a few times a year to a location about
200kms/120 miles away.  Surely I don't need a transmission cooler for this,
do I???

mileage I might expect from it when it is finally broken in (auto tranny).

2001 Accord Engine swap25 Oct 2005 14:06 GMT1
We have been trying for 6 months to get a local shop to finish an
engine swap of a 2001 Prleude engine into a 2001 accord. The accord was
the four cylynder coupe with stick.  The prelude motor came with a
stick also. The new engine is mounted in the car, but a succesion of
2002 Civic LX stalling25 Oct 2005 13:42 GMT3
I have a 2002 Civic LX which is manifesting an odd problem: the car
will start just fine, but only stays running for about 10s after being
started. It starts relatively cleanly and idles at 1000rpm (or so) for
the 10s and then it just cuts out. I hear a relay click at the
new breaks have "bumping"25 Oct 2005 03:59 GMT3
New breaks on my friends honda crv have a high frequency bumping on them
when she breaks.  Would this be a sign of improper pad installation.  The
bumping did not occur immediately out of the shop (when does it ever?) but
has come up in the last few days.

axle R&R on '86 Honda Accord25 Oct 2005 00:26 GMT37
Hi. I'm caught in the old bind of being too poor to get a car that doesn't
need constant repairs, because my only car needs constant repairs, thus
keeping me too poor to get a car that...  you know.
Anyway, my '86 Honda Accord DX (manual trans, 155000 miles) might get me

Bando brand timing belt24 Oct 2005 18:59 GMT6
A week ago, I spent $650 on a timing belt service at a local
Honda dealer. They replaced timing/drive belts, water
pumps, and various seals.
Today I had the opportunity to open the hood and take a look.

Tires for '99 Accord24 Oct 2005 11:50 GMT7
Seeking this group's collective wisdom on choosing 4 new tires for my
'99 Accord LX.  Any recomendations pro or con? I think I want something
in the same "grand touring" class as the OEM Michelins (which are
overpriced, no?), but will consider anything.
