Have automatic 90 honda accord - have a "s" button on the side of the shifter you press if you want more speed. the "s" light on the dash flashes about every 2 weeks until I turn the motor off - then it is okay for about 2 weeks it will not stop flashing

Why would the main wire melt the terminal post on an alternator that is only in use for a couple hundred miles? Could it be the internal regulator failed causing the overheating?

I'm having this problem with windshield and side windows. Switching ventillation fans to direct flow to windows doesn't help much. What does help: turning on air-conditioner...but it gets pretty cold in the car that way.
