installing air conditioning in 1996 Civic22 Dec 2005 21:10 GMT2
Can anyone tell what is involved in getting A/C installed in an older
1996 Civic? Generally, what does this kind of installation cost and can
it be done 10 years after the car was rolled off the line? Is this
something that can only be done at a Honda Service Centre?
92' Honda Civic won't start. Battery seems to be fine22 Dec 2005 20:04 GMT4
I have 92' honda civic. Have been driving this car since last 4 years
and just completed 150,000 miles.
Today morning, I started the car, it made some cranking noise, but I
thought it was due to cold weather. I drove the car for 3-4 miles and

Here's my mini-review of the new Civic, reposted from rec.autos.tech:
I looked at a new Civic yesterday, more out of curiosity then anything
else since my 88 Volvo is still running nicely at 195k miles.

cold, too snowy. No garage.
The clutch was not slipping, but it was randomly getting very hard to
change gears. Sometimes easy, sometimes hard. My tech at first guessed it

Paying a $500 Deposit?22 Dec 2005 12:06 GMT7
In another thread - an individual paid a dealer a $500 deposit.  Why in
the world would you do that?  It just locks you into that dealer.
There are tons of cars out there.
While trying to negotiate with a slimy honda dealer in Mpls - ran into
transmission problems22 Dec 2005 12:04 GMT9
My son put my 96 honda accord v6 automatic trans. into park while going
80 on the freeway.  Now the car will not go into reverse and it makes a
whinning noise which gets louder if you push on the gas.  What is wrong.

While getting my oil change from a local garage, it was recommended
that I get the transmission oil changed as well at 59700 miles.

89 Civic "TDC Position" problem (car will not start)22 Dec 2005 04:25 GMT7
Hi, I have an '89 Honda Civic 4-door. I went out to start the car the
other day, and nothing happens when I turn the ignition. No clicking,
strained attempts at turning over . . . only a _very_ quiet humming
sound (barely audible, even when you are paying close attention to it).
Driver side (left) mirror22 Dec 2005 00:11 GMT4
Can someone point me to a reference for replacing the driver side left
mirror on a 2004 Honda Accord (4dr, 4 cyl, EX)?  Also, how do I
determine the exact part that I need?
thx.
1995 LS Integra Cold Weather Mileage Question21 Dec 2005 21:26 GMT4
What kind of mileage are you Integra owners getting? I've got a 95 LS
with an automatic, 120K which only seems to get around 250 miles on a
full tank of gas. It's been cold here this winter in Illinois but I
recently had the plugs, cap, rotor, wires & filter changed but no
What can I do to cancel a Ziebart gift card?21 Dec 2005 18:59 GMT5
For various reasons, I want to cancel  $190 gift card I bought 2 days
earlier. They won't/ can't do it. They called corporate(?) I'm
guessing, and were turned down. The only thing I could find in writing
is the line (on the back of the card) "not redeemable for cash." I

Oil leak solved on 1988 Prelude S21 Dec 2005 09:03 GMT1
I had an oil leak so I figured the valve cover gasket was the problem.
After putting a new gasket on I still had the leak.  The whole underside
of the engine had oil on it and I feared the worse.  I replaced the
gasket on the distributor and it corrected the problem. Maybe this ...
