| More SRS light crap! | 03 Mar 2006 13:59 GMT | 3 |
2001 Accord EX-V6 Okay, my SRS light came on. I was told it could be low battery voltage. The battery was 5 years old and the car has 148k on it. So it was a no brainer to try a new battery. Reset the light and all was well.

I was installing an after market stereo in my 2002 civic, 4 door, and now I have no dash lights, but the hazards are a steady green on the dash, but not flashing. All the turn signals and headlights and tail lights are working, just no dash lights. Any ideas? Thanx

| engine pinging sound - 97 Accord 165K | 03 Mar 2006 08:52 GMT | 3 |
My car has been running quite well for a while. However recently during a road trip in Vegas, my engine is pinging when I accelerate. I had a full tuneup about 10K ago and an oil change about 2K ago. I thought it was bad gas (I always use 87) and have been filling up with Chevron

| Is starter going out? | 03 Mar 2006 05:35 GMT | 8 |
I have a '92 Civic EX. Sometimes the engine will turn a while before the car finally starts. This doesn't ever seem to happen when the car is cold. I can go into the grocery store for a few minutes, come out, try to crank the car and it just turns for about 5 seconds or more.

These symptoms have just started this winter and only occur with a cold start when it is colder than -10°C or so. Battery is new. Electricals work normally after the engine has warmed up. 1) Tachometer zooms to the stop at the maximum and stays there. Resets

| list of OEM parts? | 03 Mar 2006 02:57 GMT | 1 |
Anyone know of a website that lists who the OE manufacturers are for all the typical maintenance parts? Spring's about here and it's time for a change out of lots of little parts and I'd like to go with the OEM for as much as possible. Majestic list some, but not nearly all.

| Valve lash question | 03 Mar 2006 02:21 GMT | 5 |
Was adjusting valve lash on my '97 Odysey and did a double-take when I realized that the order was 1, 3, 4, 2. It made me wonder if I did the order correctly on my daughter's '93 Accord a few weeks ago. I recall I had to start over part way through the adjustment for some reason, ...

| Cold air intake whistling noise | 03 Mar 2006 02:18 GMT | 8 |
I just installed a cold air intake and have noticed (and have been trying not to notice ever since) a whistling noise (sounds like a tea kettle) that occurs only when the gas pedal is about 1/3 depressed and only under load (doesn't do it in neutral). It's not because of a leak

Hi all, My wife has a 1999 Honda Odyssey without a roof rack. I want to start using it to haul my canoes, windsurfing boards and kayaks (long and sometimes heavy items). I can get a stock Honda rack and crossbars on Ebay for around $250 or from a dealer for 30% more, but I'm ...

I have a 91 honda civic with 232,000 miles. Radiator is about 1 year old. Recently I noticed the temp gauge running all the way to the red then dropping to about half only to repeat the pattern over and over. It was almost as if the themostat was working but at a high temperature ...
