'88 Legend Coupe lower ball joints29 Mar 2006 03:47 GMT8
Hello all,
I've had my '88 2dr 5spd for 7 years now and have done almost all my
own work on it. I don't have much experience with suspension work,
however, and now it's time to dive in. I need to replace the front

Replace Tie Rod Ends before alignment.28 Mar 2006 21:31 GMT8
I recently replaced all 4 of my tires on my 98 Accord Couple (4Cyl). I
then decided to go in for an alignment at which the guys there informed
me that I would have to change both of my Front Tie rod ends before
they could proceed with the alignment.
Drive indicator light blinking28 Mar 2006 21:08 GMT6
I have a strange condition on my drive light and don't know how to
interpret it.  Yesterday evening on the way home from a trip, the letter
D on my transmission indicator panel (P,R,N,D,D2,D1) started blinking.
The condition continues to persist.
Need tire recommendation from owners of 94-97 Honda Accord28 Mar 2006 18:30 GMT4
I have never been thrilled with the longevity and performance of the
Michelin Energys that Honda provides stock on the 94-97 accord. And the
X-ones which I used in the past have been discontinued. To those who
own a 4th Gen Honda Accord, can you recommend another tire model? My
auto lock feature28 Mar 2006 15:41 GMT1
I have tried unsuccessfully to engage the "auto lock" feature by
following the directions in the owner's manual of my 2006 Civic Hybrid
carefully.  Is there a trick that does not appear in the instructions?
I would like the door locks to engage automatically at 9 mph as the
Alternative fuels28 Mar 2006 13:31 GMT10
Honda does not seem to recommend anywhere the use of ethanol.  Can Honda
reset it's computers etc. to adapt to ethanol?
Or can we just use ethanol in a Honda?

93 Civic DX pass. door lock tab broken?! Creative minds needed!28 Mar 2006 13:24 GMT4
The lock tab on my passenger side door is broken I believe, and I can
only lock that side from the outside with the key. Is there a way to
fix this problem without trying to find this separate part? I've found
the entire lock tab and handle set on ebay for $50 but thats for the
Do I have to use Honda Coolant28 Mar 2006 13:17 GMT5
Picked up a 98 Civic Lx and am going to change the coolant..
I understand I need to use a non-slicicated coolant..
Dex-Cool or its' equalivant brands fits the bill..I don't know but I
guess it would cost less.
Drivers side mirror replacement on 1998 Civic SI28 Mar 2006 03:53 GMT2
Just got my driver's side mirror clipped off my Civic.  Any idea what
replacement will cost me at a dealer (in Canada).
I have the housing and it seems intact - any chance they'll reuse it
at the dealer or insist on replacement.?
1997 Civic took some water: advice please28 Mar 2006 02:51 GMT2
My college kid daughter's 97 Civic was in water up to the bottom of the
doors and some came in on the floorboards, roughly 1/2 inch.
I am drying out the carpets.  I have checked the oil dipstick and the
transmission fluid dipstick but saw no water on them.  Regardless of
2030 Accord - caliper bolt turning direction28 Mar 2006 02:39 GMT8
Trying to change front pads on the 2003 Accord... caliper bolt is stuck
dead. Just to verify... on the left side, to losen I turn clockwise
(which would be counter-clockwise if looking from under the car).

accord 06 security system question27 Mar 2006 19:52 GMT4
I have an Accord LX-V6 with just the manufacturer security system.
In the event that one accidentally sets the alarm off, it is
deactivated by either waiting for the 2 minute timeout, or by pressing
unlock on the key which has the built in remote.  Or it can also by
Stuck lug nut - help27 Mar 2006 09:25 GMT10
I've got a stuck lug nut in the rear wheel on a 92 Accord EX (rear wheels
have disks). The bolt and the nut are mated together and rotate freely. I
tried wd40 and other remedies to no avail. Any ideas on how to separate them
would really help (Murphy's law says that the tire on ...
tranny fluid27 Mar 2006 07:27 GMT3
Other than the honda dealer, is there a safe place to buy automatic
tranmission fluid for my 2001 Honda Civic Lx? My best price so far is $5.25
plus tax per qt. Is that in the ballpark?
I ask because I don't flush...I drain a few times at the same place I get my
